CODM Season 8 Against All Fate — Complete GameLoop PC Hub (September 2026)

Every Season 8 Against All Fate guide in one place — new weapons, Honkai Impact 3rd collab, Roguelike mode, Quantum Platform, and what to do when things break on GameLoop.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 is named Against All Fate and goes live on 9 September 2026 at 5 PM Pacific (midnight UTC on September 10). The season is built around a major Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration, introduces two new weapons and a Prestige LMG, adds a co-op Roguelike multiplayer mode, and brings a free Mythic weapon event for every player. If you play on GameLoop PC, this page links every guide we have written for the season.

New weapons

Static-HV SMG — Season 8's new SMG, available through the Battle Pass and Challenge Pass. Fast-firing SMGs on GameLoop pair well with hold-ADS keybindings. Covers the optimal attachment build and recommended sensitivity for PC.

ISO Hemlock AR — the new assault rifle for Season 8, also in the Battle Pass and Challenge Pass. Mid-range AR with predictable recoil — a category that performs well on keyboard aim. Attachments and recommended keymapping layout covered in the Season 8 keymapping guide.

Dingo — Diamond Oracle LMG — Season 8's Prestige weapon, earnable through the Prestige track. LMGs on GameLoop benefit from bipod discipline — key bindings for prone-bipod engagements are covered in the Keymapping guide for Season 8.

Mythic weapons — Honkai Impact 3rd Series: three mythic blueprints tied to the collab — Static-HV Core of Fire, BAL-27 Core of Reason, and ISO Core of Thunder. You can earn one for free by completing season milestones. This is confirmed for all players, not a paid exclusive. Check the Season 8 Events screen on September 9 to start tracking your milestones.

Season 8 weapon meta: The best-performing weapons at launch are in the Season 8 best weapons and meta tier list. Specific loadout builds and recommended settings for each performance tier are in the Best GameLoop settings for Season 8 guide.

PC settings and performance

Season 8's Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration introduces heavily animated operator skins and new lobby cosmetics. These add 10–15% GPU load in lobby screens. Lower Graphics Quality one step from your usual setting if you see frame drops before a match starts, then raise it again in-game if your hardware recovers.

New mode — Roguelike Multiplayer

Season 8 adds a fully new co-op mode to Multiplayer. Up to three players enter wave-based combat: fight waves of monsters, survive escalating difficulty, then defeat a final boss. Three maps are available at launch with different difficulty levels. Between waves, Elite Chests drop Weapon Traits, Stigmata, and Chips — tapping these in-game requires accurate mouse aim on GameLoop, so resolution scaling matters more than usual.

The co-op setup: one player hosts the match, two join. Matchmaking against random teams is available in Public mode. The recommended GameLoop settings for Roguelike are the same as standard Multiplayer — the wave-combat engagement ranges and pace are similar. A full guide to the mode — maps, loot types, class builds, and recommended keymapping for PC — is in the Roguelike Multiplayer mode guide for Season 8 on GameLoop PC (publishes 11 September). Use the Keymapping guide for Season 8 for the Elite Chest interaction bindings.

New POI — Quantum Platform (Battle Royale — Isolated)

Season 8 adds a Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration zone to the Isolated Battle Royale map. The mechanic: complete a contract → defend a teleporter while it charges → your squad enters a portal → reach the Quantum Platform → fight Honkai-inspired enemies → claim high-quality loot.

The defend-the-teleporter phase is a stationary hold-and-shoot objective that favours keyboard aim significantly over swipe-to-aim mobile play. The contract-to-portal sequence adds a layered objective that GameLoop's larger screen real estate makes easier to track. Contracts show on the minimap as a distinct icon beginning with Season 8 launch.

Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration

The Honkai crossover goes beyond cosmetics. Season 8 includes:

  • Story quests tied to the Honkai Impact 3rd characters — available from the Events tab on September 9
  • Collection system — new collectible items across multiplayer and BR
  • Character encyclopedia — in-game lore pages for the collab operators
  • Dormitory lobby — a Honkai-themed seasonal lobby skin

The crossover event runs for the full Season 8 duration. The free Mythic weapon is earned through the event milestone track — you do not need to spend CP to earn it. Full details on the event tracks, operator draws, and which Mythic weapon to claim first are in the Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration guide for GameLoop PC (publishes 12 September) and the Season 8 free Mythic weapon event guide (publishes 11 September).

Balance changes

These changes were confirmed on the Season 8 test server. The live patch notes on September 9 are the authoritative source — test server and live values sometimes differ.

Weapon buffs (confirmed test server): S36 LMG (faster ADS and STF), Cronen Squall AR, Fennec SMG, Krig 6 AR, FFAR 1 AR, LAPA SMG, Arctic .50 Sniper.

Weapon nerfs (confirmed test server): FSS Hurricane SMG — sprint speed reduced. The dominant sprint-and-gun weapon of Season 7 loses some of its short-range push advantage. If your Season 7 TAC loadout was built around the Hurricane, Fennec is a direct swap — comparable engagement range, now relatively stronger after the nerf.

Equipment changes (confirmed test server): Flash Drone and Inflatable Decoy starting amounts raised from 1 to 2. Sticky Grenade radius expanded and minimum damage raised.

Battle Royale changes (confirmed test server): VTOL Jet loses its pre-hover damage protection phase. Jet Boost wall-running removed from BR. Quick Strike Class dash distance reduced, damage increased. Ninja Class grapple distance reduced, more charges, faster cooldown.

A full breakdown of each balance change and how it affects PC play specifically is in the Season 8 patch analysis. The FSS Hurricane nerf guide for GameLoop PC covers the Sprint Speed change, how it affects emulator play, and what to run instead. The ranked meta guide for Season 8 covers the full meta shift including which buffed weapons settle into the top tier once the first week of data is in (publishes 15 September).

When things break

Season updates on GameLoop almost always trigger at least one issue on first launch.

  • CODM Season 8 error and fix hub for GameLoop PC — crash on first S8 launch, update stuck or looping, FPS drops, connection errors, black screen, controller reset, voice chat
  • Season 8 known issues on EmuDesk — dedicated pages for every common problem with step-by-step fixes

Normal first-launch behaviour that is not a bug:

  • Long load on first launch — CODM decompresses new S8 assets. Let it run to completion.
  • Shader stutter on match 1 — clears by match 2.
  • Settings reset to defaults — intentional on major updates. Re-apply your config.

For persistent issues, the GameLoop lag fix covers the network and performance baseline that resolves most remaining problems.
