CODM S8 Honkai Impact 3rd Collaboration — Everything Confirmed (GameLoop PC)
Season 8 "Against All Fate" features a full Honkai Impact 3rd crossover — story quests, a Battle Royale POI, Mythic weapons, and a free Mythic event for every player. Here is what is confirmed before launch.
Season 8 of Call of Duty: Mobile is built around a major collaboration with Honkai Impact 3rd, miHoYo's flagship action RPG. The crossover is deeper than the typical CODM seasonal collab — it affects multiplayer, Battle Royale, and the lobby system simultaneously. If you play on GameLoop PC, here is what is confirmed before September 9, and what it means in practice.
What the collaboration includes
Activision has confirmed the following features for the Honkai Impact 3rd × CODM Season 8 collaboration:
- Story quests — in-game narrative content tied to the Honkai universe
- Collection system — a seasonal collectible mechanic, likely tied to the Honkai characters and lore items
- Character encyclopedia — an in-game reference to the Honkai characters featured in the collab
- Dormitory lobby — a themed lobby space with Honkai Impact 3rd aesthetic, replacing or supplementing the standard seasonal lobby
- Quantum Platform POI — a new location in the Battle Royale Isolated map
- Mythic Armory weapon series — three Mythic-tier weapon skins named with Honkai-themed titles
- Free Mythic weapon event — available to all players, no Battle Pass required
The scope makes this one of the larger CODM crossovers in recent memory. The collab runs for the full Season 8 window.
The Quantum Platform POI (Battle Royale)
The Quantum Platform is a new point of interest added to Battle Royale — Isolated map, confirmed for Season 8. The mechanic works as follows:
- Find the Quantum Platform contract on the map
- Complete the contract
- Defend a charging teleporter (you stay stationary while it charges — enemy squads will push)
- Once charged, your squad enters the portal
- Inside the Quantum Platform space, you fight Honkai-inspired enemies
- Survive and extract high-quality loot
PC perspective: This is a defend-the-point mechanic, which plays to GameLoop PC strengths. Stationary defense with keyboard movement and mouse aim is where emulator players have an advantage — you do not need to physically rotate your device, and you can hold a sightline precisely while managing the teleporter charge timer on screen.
The push defense phase (step 3) will be the decisive moment. Expect enemy squads to contest the charge from multiple angles. Set up crossfires before activating the contract, not after.
The Honkai-inspired enemies inside the portal space are AI-controlled. The exact enemy types and damage values are not yet confirmed; update expected post-September 9. Use your strongest weapon loadout with a launcher in your equipment slot for armor suppression if the enemies use shield mechanics.
The Mythic Armory: three Honkai-themed weapons
The collaboration introduces a Mythic Armory weapon series with Honkai Impact 3rd aesthetic and naming:
| Weapon | Mythic Name | Paired Honkai Operator | Draw Date (est.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static-HV SMG | Core of Fire | Siren — Herrscher of Flamescion | Sep 12 |
| BAL-27 AR | Core of Reason | Kestrel — Herrscher of Reason | Sep 13 |
| ISO Hemlock AR | Core of Thunder | Rin Yoshida — Herrscher of Thunder | Sep 11 |
The Mythic naming follows Honkai lore — Cores are significant power items in the Honkai universe, each tied to a specific Herrscher (god-equivalent figure). The paired operators are the character skins available in the three consecutive Lucky Draws starting September 11–13. The skins and weapons are sold separately; the draws are gacha pulls for the operator skins, while the weapons are part of the Armory or the free event.
The Mythic Armory also opens on September 25 with additional Honkai-themed weapon blueprints and melee items:
- Katana — Domain of Sanction
- Nail Gun — Domain of Incandescence
- FHJ — Domain of Revelation
- Scythe — Aphrodite Scythe (melee blueprint)
All three primary Mythic weapons are available through the Season 8 Battle Pass and Armory. One is also available as the free Mythic event reward — see the next section.
Free Mythic event: how it works
The free Mythic event is the headline announcement for players who do not purchase the Battle Pass. You complete season milestones — in-game tasks that progress as you play — and at the end you choose one of the three Mythic weapons above to keep permanently.
This is confirmed to be available to all players, not gated behind the Battle Pass. The event opens September 11 — two days after launch — and the specific weekly mission list will be visible in-game once it unlocks. Importantly, you can change your weapon selection before completing the final milestone, so there is no permanent penalty for picking one and later switching to another.
Faster progression becomes available on October 1 via Holiday Login Rewards, so players who fall behind early in the season have a catch-up path in the second half.
The choice between the three weapons is covered in detail in the CODM S8 Free Mythic Weapon guide. Short version: the BAL-27 Core of Reason is the safest pick for emulator players, the Static-HV Core of Fire is for SMG mains who want to invest in the new S8 weapon, and the ISO Core of Thunder suits AR players who want the season's other new weapon.
Story quests, collection system, and encyclopedia
These three features are confirmed but their exact structure is not yet published. Based on how CODM has handled previous major collabs (the Godzilla × Kong and Ghost in the Shell events are comparables), expect:
- Story quests: A series of 5-8 daily or weekly missions with a narrative wrapper introducing the Honkai characters to the CODM storyline. Complete them for BP XP, currency, and cosmetic rewards.
- Collection system: Loot drops or mission rewards that include collectible items — cards, tokens, or similar — which fill a seasonal collection board for extra rewards.
- Character encyclopedia: A reference tab in the main menu or event screen that introduces the Honkai valkyries, their abilities, and lore blurbs. No gameplay impact — it is informational.
None of these require special setup on GameLoop PC. They will appear in the Event menu when Season 8 launches.
Dormitory lobby
The Dormitory is a Honkai Impact 3rd feature — players in the original game maintain a residential space that reflects their progression and preferences. CODM is adapting this as a seasonal lobby experience: the pre-match lobby area is redesigned with a Honkai dormitory aesthetic.
On GameLoop PC, lobby rendering can be GPU-intensive when multiple players have Mythic or Legendary skins loaded simultaneously. The Dormitory lobby adds additional environment geometry. If your lobby frame rate drops in Season 8, reduce Graphics Quality by one step before entering a lobby — gameplay performance is unaffected once the match loads.
If you play Honkai Impact 3rd
The CODM crossover runs in the reverse direction too — Honkai Impact 3rd is expected to include CODM-themed content during the same period. If you are a Honkai player who found this page while looking for the crossover, GameLoop PC supports Honkai Impact 3rd directly.
GameLoop PC is the official Tencent emulator. It runs both CODM and Honkai Impact 3rd natively, with controller and keyboard support. Setup guides for Honkai Impact 3rd on GameLoop PC are available on EmuDesk — search for "Honkai Impact" in the guides section.
