CODM Season 7 ends September 9 — what to finish before S8 Against All Fate launches

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 — Terminated — ends on 9 September 2026, the same moment Season 8 Against All Fate begins. Once the S8 patch lands, season-specific rewards expire, limited-time events close, and the exchange shop resets. Here is a short checklist of what to handle before the transition.

When does Season 7 end exactly?

Season 7 ends when the S8 update goes live. Based on Activision's recent pattern, that is around 5 PM Pacific Time on September 9, which is midnight UTC on September 10. The window sometimes shifts by a few hours. Watch for in-game maintenance notices — they are the most reliable real-time signal.

1. Finish your Season 7 Battle Pass

If you purchased the Season 7 premium Battle Pass, check your tier progress before September 9. Any unclaimed tier rewards expire at the season close. Free-track milestones you have not collected also disappear.

• Open Season Pass from the main menu
• Collect all unclaimed rewards at your current tier
• If you are close to a milestone reward, knock out the remaining missions

Buying Battle Pass tiers with Codpoints in the final hours is rarely worth it unless you are one or two tiers from a specific reward.

2. Complete active limited-time events

Season 7 has several running events with their own countdowns. Open Events in the main menu and sort by time remaining. Priority order:

• Events offering permanent weapon blueprints or operator skins
• Events with earn-and-exchange token systems you have not spent yet
• Daily mission chains you have fallen behind on

Events that reward only XP cards or basic consumables are lower priority — those items carry over or are easily replaced in S8.

3. Spend event exchange currency

Some Season 7 events use a token or credit system: earn currency by completing matches or missions, then exchange it in an event store. These stores close with the season.

Check each active event for an Exchange or Store tab. Spend unspent tokens on the highest-value permanent item — usually a weapon blueprint, operator skin, or charm. Seasonal tokens not redeemed before September 9 are gone permanently.

4. Check your Terminator event progress

The Terminator crossover had milestone-based rewards across the season. If you are close to a reward threshold, completing the final missions before the season ends is worth the extra play session. Log in, open Events, and check the Terminator tab for any unclaimed milestone rewards.

5. Understand how rank carry-over works

CODM performs a soft rank reset between seasons. Your Season 7 rank is not erased — it is reduced by a fixed number of divisions to create a placement window at S8 start. Based on previous season patterns:

• Legendary resets to approximately Diamond 1
• Master resets to approximately Diamond 1
• Gold and below reset to Silver 1–3

You do not need to do anything to protect your rank. The reset applies automatically when S8 begins.

6. Get GameLoop ready before the patch

The S8 update downloads through the in-game launcher, not through GameLoop itself. Three things to do before September 9:

1. Update GameLoop — Settings → About → Check for Update inside the emulator. Running the latest GameLoop build avoids most launch-day shader and engine incompatibilities.
2. Clear your CODM cache if you have had any crashes or black screens late in Season 7. Navigate to App Market → tap the CODM icon → Manage → Clear Cache.
3. Free up drive space — S8 patches typically run 1.5 to 3.5 GB. Confirm you have at least 5 GB free on the drive where GameLoop is installed before launch day.

What is coming in Season 8

Season 8 is named Against All Fate and introduces a major Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration, two new weapons (Static-HV SMG and ISO Hemlock AR), a new Roguelike multiplayer mode with co-op wave combat, and a new Quantum Platform POI in Battle Royale. There is also a free Mythic weapon event where completing season milestones earns you one of three mythic weapons at no cost.
