CODM Season 7 Terminated sensitivity settings for GameLoop PC
DPI, ADS multipliers, and per-weapon tuning for the three new S7 weapons — built specifically for keyboard-and-mouse play on GameLoop.
Sensitivity in Call of Duty: Mobile means two different things depending on whether you play on a phone or on GameLoop. On mobile, you are adjusting how far your thumb sweeps across a small screen. On GameLoop, you are adjusting how far a physical mouse moves to move the reticle the same amount. The optimal values are different, and most guides online are written for mobile. This one is for GameLoop.
What actually controls your aim speed
Three layers interact when you move the mouse in GameLoop:
DPI (set in your mouse driver) controls how many on-screen counts you generate per centimetre of physical movement. A higher DPI means a smaller physical movement produces a larger on-screen move. This is set outside the game entirely.
In-game sensitivity (the slider in CODM settings) controls how fast the game camera rotates per input count it receives. This scales on top of DPI.
ADS multipliers are per-scope modifiers applied on top of in-game sensitivity whenever you are aiming down sights. A multiplier of 50 means your ADS camera moves at half your hip-fire speed.
If your sensitivity feels too slow, the instinct is to raise the in-game slider. The more precise fix is to raise DPI while keeping the slider moderate, which gives you a more consistent relationship between mouse distance and camera movement. High DPI with a mid-range in-game slider is more repeatable than low DPI with a maxed slider.
A starting point
These values work well for most players coming from desktop FPS games. Adjust from this baseline rather than starting from zero:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Mouse DPI | 800 |
| In-game sensitivity (hip) | 100 |
| Aim sensitivity (non-scoped ADS) | 70 |
| Scope multiplier — 1x | 70 |
| Scope multiplier — 2x | 65 |
| Scope multiplier — 3x | 60 |
| Scope multiplier — 4x | 55 |
| Scope multiplier — 6x | 50 |
| Scope multiplier — 8x | 45 |
If you have more than about three years of desktop FPS experience, you may want DPI 400 with in-game sensitivity 130. Low-DPI play requires more physical space but rewards muscle memory that already expects larger movements.
Tuning for the three new Season 7 weapons
JOKR launcher
The JOKR does not fire until you lock onto a target. During the lock-on phase, you hold right-click and keep the crosshair on the target while the game waits roughly one second to commit. Your sensitivity during this wait is irrelevant to whether the lock-on succeeds — the game checks target proximity, not mouse speed.
What matters is your ability to stay on a moving target for one second at mid-to-long range. If your sensitivity is too high, minor wrist tremor will drift the reticle off-target and reset the lock. Drop your 1x ADS multiplier slightly (to around 65) if you are having trouble maintaining lock in the training range. The JOKR occupies its own launcher slot; it does not replace a primary weapon.
Hades LMG
LMGs have the slowest ADS strafe speed in the game. On GameLoop, this shows as a noticeably slower side-to-side movement while right-clicking. Do not fight this by raising sensitivity — the weapon is designed for positioned play rather than mobile tracking.
The payoff is strong mid-range accuracy from a mounted position. Assign crouch to C or left Control, and hold near a surface to automatically mount. Mounted ADS reduces visual recoil significantly and the Hades benefits more than most weapons. A 3x or 4x scope with a moderate multiplier (55–60) is the comfortable range for this weapon.
Striker 45 SMG
The Striker 45 plays similarly to the QQ9 and MP5 — short-range, hip-fire aggressive. Your hip-fire sensitivity (the main in-game slider) matters here more than ADS multipliers.
If you find hip-fire tracking difficult at close range, the usual cause is sensitivity being too high rather than too low. Try reducing from 100 to 85 and see if your close-range tracking improves. At very close range, small mouse movements should produce small camera movements; high sensitivity exaggerates tremor and makes snap-tracking harder to control.
How to test settings without spending real match time
Use the practice range (Custom Game → Training → Practice Range). Run through this sequence:
- Hip-fire against a stationary target at 10 metres. If you consistently over-rotate past it, lower sensitivity. If you consistently under-rotate and have to correct, raise it.
- ADS against a moving target at 25 metres using your primary scope. Adjust the per-scope multiplier until corrections feel proportional — one mouse motion, one correction, stop.
- Repeat for the scopes you actually use in ranked.
Changing one variable at a time and writing down what you changed prevents the common loop of adjusting everything and returning to the same result confused about what helped.
Season 7 patch note
Season 7 does not yet have an official name — Activision has not published the season page at the time of writing. All weapon characteristics described here are drawn from test-build reports and may shift in the final patch. We will update this article once the patch notes are live on 5 August.
