CODM Season 7 Terminated — day-one checklist for GameLoop PC
Season 7 is live. Here are the four things to do in the first hour on GameLoop PC — update, start the seasonal events, verify keybindings, and set up for the new modes.
CODM Season 7 — Terminated — is live. Before you jump into a match, run through this checklist. It takes about ten minutes and prevents the most common launch-day problems on GameLoop.
Step 1 — Download the S7 update in GameLoop
Open GameLoop and let the launcher detect the new patch. If the update does not appear automatically:
- Open GameLoop → My Games
- Right-click Call of Duty: Mobile → Update
- If the button is greyed out, close GameLoop completely, reopen it, and try again
The Season 7 patch is approximately 3–5 GB. Download time depends on your connection. Do not pause or minimize GameLoop during the download — some users report the download stalling if the window loses focus during the first few minutes.
If the download is stuck at 0% after two minutes, try: Settings → Advanced → Clear Cache, then restart GameLoop and re-launch the update.
Step 2 — Start the seasonal events
Season 7's free rewards are progression-based, so the day you start determines how much grinding is left at the end. Open the Events tab before your first match and register what is running:
Terminator 2: Judgment Day — daily objectives earn Cyberdyne Tech points, which unlock over 15 themed rewards including weapon camos, charms, sprays and the Blackjack — Endoskeleton Operator variant.
Arcade Event — playing the new Season 7 modes rewards the Jet — Golden Flaw Operator plus 5 Epic weapon blueprints.
COD Points Rush — weekly missions pay out temporary COD Points, spendable on Season 7 store offers until they expire at the end of the season.
The free Battle Pass track carries the Cronen Squall assault rifle and the Overload Battle Royale class, so it is worth levelling even if you do not buy the paid track. Event missions run on their own timers and are easy to miss once you settle into matches — check the tab at the start of each session, not just on launch day.
Step 3 — Verify your keybindings
CODM updates occasionally reset keybindings, particularly in GameLoop's Smart Tool configuration. After the patch applies:
- Launch a Training match (not a live match) before touching ranked or public lobbies
- Test every key you rely on — fire, ADS, crouch, lean, melee, operator skill, scorestreak activations
- Check the Smart Tool overlay (the floating keyboard map) — if any key shows blank, re-assign it manually in Smart Tool settings
If your sensitivity also changed, check Settings → Sensitivity inside CODM and compare to your saved values. Season updates do not usually reset sensitivity but it is worth confirming before your first ranked match.
If you need to rebuild your full keybind layout, open Smart Tool → select the TAC preset as a starting point, then customize from there.
Step 4 — Set up for the new modes
Three new modes arrive in Season 7 Terminated:
Operator Skill Overdrive — A free-for-all mode where you collect, upgrade, and fuse Operator Skills into Fusion Skills mid-match. All Operator Skills use your standard Smart Tool bindings — no new key assignment required. Your existing Operator Skill key (default: Q) activates skills in this mode as it does in standard MP. The mechanic rewards quick activation, so confirm the key is comfortable before entering a live match.
Hardpoint: Mayhem — A role-based Hardpoint variant. You spawn into one of three roles — Anchor, Rover, or Controller — each with a fixed loadout and scoring mechanic. GameLoop's Smart Tool handles all three role loadouts automatically. No special setup is required, but run one round of Mayhem before ranked to understand the scoring for your assigned role.

Lockdown (Battle Royale) — A new objective-based BR mode on Rebirth Island with respawns active. Your existing BR keybinds carry over without changes. Lockdown's faster pace (smaller map, more contact) makes high ADS sensitivity feel sluggish — if close-range tracking feels off, lower your BR ADS sensitivity by 5–10% before your second session.

Terminator event — The Season 7 event hub includes Terminator × CODM missions (T-800 and T-1000 progression tasks). Check the Events tab at the start of each session — event missions are separate from the match flow and easy to miss.

If something goes wrong
Black screen on launch after update — Close GameLoop, reopen it, and let it re-detect the game. If the black screen persists: GameLoop → Settings → Advanced → Repair Game.
High lag or rubber-banding — S7 launch day generates unusually high server load worldwide. Wait 30–60 minutes after the servers go live before judging your ping. If lag persists beyond the first hour, see the CODM lag fix guide for GameLoop PC.
Game crashes immediately — Update your GPU drivers before re-launching. Season updates sometimes change the DirectX requirements slightly. If you are on integrated graphics, check CODM best settings for low-end PCs.
Settings reset — Season updates occasionally reset graphics settings to defaults. If your game looks or feels different, go to Settings → Graphics inside CODM and reapply your preferred configuration. See best S7 settings for GameLoop PC for recommended values.
