CODM × Terminator crossover on GameLoop PC — what to expect and how to set up

Season 7 Terminated brings the T-800 and T-1000 into CODM. Here is what the crossover adds, how it affects your GameLoop setup, and what to do before your first Terminator event mission.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 — officially named Terminated — launches August 5, 2026 with a Terminator franchise crossover at its centre — the franchise's first major appearance in CODM in years. The season also introduces the Lockdown Battle Royale mode on Rebirth Island, the Cronen Squall as the new free Battle Pass AR, and new multiplayer modes including Operator Skill Overdrive and Hardpoint: Mayhem. This guide focuses on what PC players on GameLoop need to prepare before and during launch week.

What the crossover adds

CODM franchise crossovers follow a consistent pattern. Season 7 Terminated brings:

  • T-800 and T-1000 operator skins — the two iconic Terminator characters from the film series, available through seasonal events and potentially the premium Battle Pass track
  • Terminator-themed weapon blueprints — collab cosmetics tied to event milestones
  • Event missions with collab-specific scoring rules — tasks that reference Terminator lore, triggering completion conditions that may use mechanics outside your normal loadout

What this means practically: the first two weeks of Season 7 will have more active event missions than a typical mid-season window. The Terminator event track has its own check-in cadence, daily tasks, and milestone rewards. Checking the event tab at the start of each session is important — it sits outside the standard match flow and is easy to miss when you are focused on ranked play.

Lockdown — the new Battle Royale mode

Season 7 introduces Lockdown, a new objective-based Battle Royale variant played on Rebirth Island. Unlike standard BR where the objective is pure survival, Lockdown adds High Value Zones — designated map areas that award additional rewards for control. Respawns are enabled, which changes the risk calculus considerably from standard BR.

On GameLoop, Lockdown plays identically to standard BR from a controls standpoint. Your existing key bindings carry over without adjustment. The mode changes strategy more than setup: the smaller Rebirth Island layout means shorter travel times and more frequent contact. Your BR sensitivity may feel too slow for the faster pace — test Lockdown in a session or two before running high-stakes matches, and lower your ADS sensitivity slightly if close-range tracking feels sluggish.

Cronen Squall — Season 7's new AR on GameLoop PC

The Cronen Squall is Season 7's new assault rifle, available on the free Battle Pass track. Unlike the fully automatic ARs most PC players use, the Cronen Squall is semi-automatic — each trigger pull fires one round.

On GameLoop, this distinction becomes a meaningful advantage. Binding fire to a scroll-wheel or a dedicated mouse button turns the Cronen Squall into a semi-auto that fires at a rate mobile touchscreen players cannot match. GameLoop's Smart Tool maps fire to left-click by default; for the Cronen Squall, testing a scroll-wheel binding before your first ranked match is worth two minutes of setup.

A Practice vs AI match is the ideal place to calibrate your Cronen Squall fire rate without the cost of a ranked loss — available from the main menu at any time.

Frame rate and the collab cosmetics

Crossover seasons bring higher-fidelity cosmetics than standard seasonal content — T-800 and T-1000 operator models, collab weapon blueprints, and new particle effects for event-specific weapons. On machines running near their GPU limit, this translates to visible frame dips when enemies with high-fidelity collab skins appear on screen, especially in close-range situations where the full character model is visible at high detail.

If you expect performance to be marginal: lower shadow quality before launch day, not during a match. The shadow setting has the highest single-step frame-rate impact of any CODM graphics option on GameLoop, and dropping it one level recovers headroom without visibly changing how the game looks at mid-to-long range.

Managing the Terminator event

The Terminator event is the centrepiece of Season 7. Event missions, T-800 and T-1000 progression tasks, and milestone rewards are all tracked in the season event hub.

The most common PC-specific issue with event missions: some tasks specify actions that translate directly to key bindings in GameLoop — "activate Operator Skill," "trigger a finishing move," "score a killstreak." If an event task is stalling at zero progress, check your keymapping for the relevant action before assuming a bug. The binding may exist in GameLoop but not be configured for your current Smart Tool layout.

Collab events typically run for two to three weeks and expire without extension. Missing the final week of milestone rewards is final — the T-800 and T-1000 operator skins won't return at the same price after the event closes.

What is not changing

The core CODM match flow on GameLoop is unchanged. Standard key mappings, sensitivity, and performance configuration from Season 6 carry over. If your setup was working well at the end of Season 6, the only required actions before playing Season 7 are a one-time graphics check after the Season 7 patch applies and testing the Cronen Squall's semi-auto fire rate.

The day-one checklist on this site covers the complete pre-match sequence for Season 7 in order. The Cronen Squall guide covers the semi-auto fire binding specifically.
