CODM Season 7 Terminated — what to complete before the season ends (GameLoop PC)

Season 7 will not be available indefinitely. Here is what GameLoop PC players should prioritise finishing before Terminated closes out.

Call of Duty: Mobile seasons last roughly six to eight weeks. Season 7 Terminated launched on 5 August 2026. With that window now narrowing, some content will disappear when the season rolls over and some will carry forward. This guide covers what is time-limited, what is worth prioritising, and how GameLoop PC players should spend the remaining time.

1. Battle Pass: work the 50-tier track before it resets

The Battle Pass resets completely when Season 7 ends. Tiers do not carry over to Season 8, and neither does the premium track purchase — you pay again for the next season.

The headline unlock is the Cronen Squall, Terminated's Battle Pass assault rifle. It is built around low recoil and reliable accuracy rather than raw rate of fire, which is exactly the profile that rewards a mouse: a weapon that stays where you point it turns your aim into the limiting factor instead of the recoil pattern. The Battle Pass guide covers what each tier contains and where the weapon sits on the track, and the Cronen Squall setup guide covers the binding and sensitivity work worth doing before you take it into ranked.

The season's operators are on the same clock. Terminated's Battle Pass line-up is Ether — Cyborg Rebel, Demir — The Mech Hunter, Ripper — Broadcast, a Synaptic reskin, and Blackjack — Endoskeleton. They are season-specific: once the pass closes, the track that carried them closes with it.

If you are on the free track, the free rewards are still worth collecting. Battle Pass XP earned on the free track still progresses tiers and unlocks whatever free-track items sit at each milestone. None of them cost CP, and they disappear at season end just the same.

The fastest way to earn XP before the season closes is covered in the level-up guide. Domination and Hardpoint are consistently the strongest XP modes. A full Domination match with active flag captures earns more XP per hour than three short TDM matches — and on GameLoop that difference compounds, because a keyboard-and-mouse player rotates between objectives faster than a touchscreen one.

2. The Terminator 2 collaboration: finish the event track

Terminated's collaboration is Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and it is the single most season-locked thing in the game right now. It brings the T-800 and T-1000 as operators, built around a form-switching mechanic that no other operator in CODM has. The "It Goes Two" store bundle carries both forms together plus Legendary blueprints.

Two different clocks are running here, and they are worth separating:

  • The event track is earned. Work through the challenge list in order — many unlock sequentially rather than all at once, so leaving them until the final week can leave you mathematically short. Anything you have earned but not claimed from the event tab when the season closes is typically forfeited.
  • The store bundle is bought. Seasonal bundles rotate with the season, so treat it as a decision to make while Season 7 is live rather than something you can come back to.

The Terminator crossover guide covers the specific challenges and what each one rewards.

On GameLoop PC, two setup items matter here. The first is the form switch: it is an in-match operator action, so give it a dedicated key in your keymap and confirm nothing else is sitting on that key — discovering the conflict mid-match is how you lose the duel that the ability existed to win. The second is the Interact / Claim key. Event-reward popups that appear mid-match need it pressed before the match ends, and a missed in-match claim is permanent. The keymapping guide covers both.

3. The three new modes: Overdrive, Hardpoint: Mayhem and Lockdown

Terminated added three modes, and all three are the kind of content that a season rollover can quietly remove or rotate out. If you have not played them yet, this is the part of the list to move up.

Operator Skill Overdrive is a free-for-all mode where Operator Skills stop being a loadout choice and become the match itself: you collect them, upgrade them, and fuse them into Fusion Skills as the match runs. There are no teams, so there is no one to cover you while you commit to a pickup. On GameLoop that is a keymapping problem before it is a skill problem — pickup and skill-activation need keys you can reach without taking your hand off movement. The Operator Skill Overdrive guide covers the loop in detail.

Hardpoint: Mayhem is the role-based take on Hardpoint. Each player is an Anchor, a Rover or a Controller, and each role comes with its own loadouts and its own way of scoring. Because the loadout changes with the role, the muscle memory you built on one role does not transfer cleanly to the next — it is worth playing at least one match in each before the season ends, if only to know which one suits mouse aim. The Hardpoint: Mayhem guide breaks down all three.

Lockdown is the new Battle Royale mode: an objective capture-and-defend variant played on Rebirth Island, with respawns active. Respawns change the whole risk calculation — a push that would be reckless in standard BR is often correct here. Terminated also added the Overload BR class, which comes with a Shock Stick that interrupts enemies; like every class ability it wants its own key rather than a shared one. The Lockdown guide covers the mode from a PC-input standpoint.

One more thing worth a session before the rollover: Terminated shipped a refreshed Nuketown for multiplayer. Nuketown's sightlines are short enough that the sensitivity that serves you well on larger maps will feel slow, so if you are going to test a lower ADS value anywhere, test it here. The settings guide covers the starting points.

4. The free reward tracks: Arcade Event and COD Points Rush

Two free tracks are running alongside the Battle Pass, and neither survives the season.

The Arcade Event pays you for the thing you probably want to do anyway: playing Overdrive, Hardpoint: Mayhem and Lockdown. Its milestone ladder ends in the Jet — Golden Flaw operator, with five Epic blueprints spread across the earlier milestones. Nothing in it costs CP. The Arcade Event guide covers how the points accrue.

COD Points Rush is a weekly-mission track that pays out time-limited COD Points. The important word is weekly: the missions refresh on their own schedule regardless of how much of the season is left, so a week you skip is a week you cannot get back at the end.

Practical order of operations if your remaining time is short: play the new modes, which feeds the Arcade Event and your Battle Pass XP at the same time, and check the weekly tab before the last session of each week.

5. Ranked: reach your target before the rollover

Ranked progress does not carry forward unchanged. At the season rollover CODM applies a partial decay rather than a clean wipe — you start Season 8 below where you finished Season 7, not at the bottom. The rank reset guide explains how the placement works, and the ranked guide covers weapon restrictions and how the Terminated meta plays out in the ranked pool for emulator players.

If you are pushing for a specific tier, the practical point is that the rank you finish on is the one your decayed starting position is calculated from. The last weeks are the ones that set your Season 8 floor.

One consideration unique to PC players: ranked lobbies in the final days of a season tend to have more experienced opponents, because everyone trying to rank up is playing at the same time. It is also when smurf accounts appear in higher volume. This is not a reason to stop playing ranked, but it is worth calibrating expectations.

6. Weekly missions and the event tab: claim before they expire

Weekly missions refresh on a fixed schedule regardless of the season end date. Each week's missions award XP, Battle Pass progress, and sometimes cosmetic rewards. Anything unclaimed when the season ends is forfeited.

On GameLoop PC, checking takes ten seconds: launch the game, open the Missions tab in the main lobby, and look for completed missions showing a claim button. Claiming is one click and the XP applies to your Battle Pass progress immediately. Do the same in the Events tab, where the Terminator track and the Arcade Event live — that tab sits outside the normal match flow and is the one people forget.

The habits worth building before end of season: complete the daily missions each session, check the weekly tab before your last session of the week, and check the events tab for any challenge with a short remaining timer.

What carries over to Season 8

To avoid wasting time grinding the wrong things: your account level, your CP balance, your weapon unlocks, your operator collection, and your completed loadouts all carry forward. Battle Pass content is permanent once you have earned it — the Cronen Squall you unlock this season stays in your armoury. Ranked progress decays rather than resets, and your Season 7 rank emblem stays on your profile.

Your GameLoop setup carries over too, which is the one piece of preparation that pays into next season rather than out of this one. If your keymap and sensitivity are still where they were in Season 6, the end of a season is the cheapest time to fix that — you are not risking a rank push while you experiment.

The Season 7 complete guide hub lists the full content overview if you want to check anything you may have missed across the season.
