CODM Season 7 Terminated events on GameLoop PC — crossovers and new modes
Season 7 brings two confirmed brand collaborations and a new game mode. Here is what event content looks like on GameLoop PC and how to navigate it.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 is expected on 5 August. Test builds have confirmed two crossover collaborations — Terminator and Girls' Frontline — and a limited-time mode called Battle of the Bots. Here is what GameLoop PC players should know before these go live.
How crossover events work on GameLoop PC
Crossover events in CODM consist of three overlapping parts: limited-time rewards (operators, weapon blueprints, charms earned through in-game tasks), exclusive purchasable content, and sometimes a dedicated game mode.
On GameLoop PC, accessing event content works the same way as on mobile. After the Season 7 patch installs and you launch the game, look for the event tab in the main lobby — usually a side icon or banner near the top. Events do not require separate installation. The content is bundled into the season patch.
One thing worth confirming before the season drops: check that you have a key bound for Interact / Claim. Crossover events occasionally add claimable rewards mid-match — a specific challenge completes and a popup appears. On mobile this is a tap. On GameLoop the binding is typically F by default, but verifying it now takes ten seconds and finding a gap during a match takes longer.
Terminator crossover
The Terminator collaboration is confirmed in Season 7 test builds. Based on how similar collaborations have behaved in prior seasons, expect one or more Terminator-themed operators, associated weapon blueprints with visual effects, and a set of time-limited challenges that reward event currency or the operator directly.
On GameLoop PC, equipping a crossover operator works through the standard loadout screen. Select your class, go to the operator slot, and choose from available options. The crossover operator is cosmetic — it does not change hitbox size or any gameplay behavior.
Some Terminator operators may have short cinematic intro animations that play during the lobby or round start. These play on PC without any additional setup. They add a few seconds to round loading — worth knowing if you are timing a quick match.
Girls' Frontline crossover
Girls' Frontline is a mobile tactics title with a dedicated fanbase, particularly in East Asia. Its crossovers typically bring detailed character designs and themed weapon skins.
Expect similar content to the Terminator event: operators, weapon blueprints, and challenge-based rewards. One PC-specific note: crossover character models in anime-style collaborations tend to carry higher-resolution textures than the standard operator set. On GameLoop, if you notice a brief pause when first loading a crossover operator in the loadout screen, it is the texture cache warming — it resolves after the first load and does not recur.
Battle of the Bots
Battle of the Bots is a new limited-time mode confirmed for Season 7. Based on what has surfaced from test builds, it involves AI-controlled bot opponents rather than live players — likely a structured challenge or scoring mode.
On GameLoop PC, bot modes behave identically to live modes in terms of controls. No additional bindings should be needed. However, bot modes often have unique objectives — eliminate a set number of bots within a time limit, reach a score threshold — that change how you approach each round. Reading the mode description before your first match is worth the thirty seconds.
Performance in bot modes is typically stable. AI opponents do not generate the packet variation that live players do, which means frame timing is more consistent than in a live multiplayer round.
What we do not know yet
Three things about Season 7 events will remain unknown until the patch ships on 5 August:
Whether any event adds its own game mode. Some major crossovers include a limited-time mode themed around the brand — a distinct map or rule set. Test build content does not always include finalized event modes.
The earn rate for challenge-based rewards. How long it takes to unlock crossover operators through gameplay varies significantly by event design. Events that gate the operator behind a premium pass are worth evaluating before investing time in the challenge chain.
Battle of the Bots' exact objective structure. Whether the mode scores on eliminations, time, or another metric determines the most effective keybinding priorities for PC play.
This article will be updated once the patch is live on 5 August.
