Spider-Man lands in PUBG Mobile 4.5 — what it means on GameLoop PC

PUBG Mobile's version 4.5 update brought a crossover with the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The collaboration content went live on 30 July 2026 — mmoculture gives the precise time as 02:00 UTC. The film released the following day, so the in-game event was timed to land a day ahead of it.

This is not a cosmetics-only tie-in. The headline additions are two equippable items that grant movement and detection abilities which do not exist in normal PUBG Mobile, plus a themed area on the map and a set of scripted, interactive set pieces. That distinction matters on a PC, because new abilities mean new on-screen buttons, and new on-screen buttons mean new keybinds.

The two items that change how you move

Four of the six outlets we consulted describe the abilities as coming from two wearable pickups.

Peter Parker's Gloves enable web-swinging between tall buildings and other suitable structures. The same item provides a web attack that deals damage and slows its target. Bleeding Cool and mmoculture both add that repeated hits can ensnare an opponent and temporarily stop them moving.

Peter Parker's Hoodie covers vertical movement: wall climbing, wall running, ceiling traversal and a double jump, with Spider-Man-styled animations. The hoodie also carries a spider-sense mechanic that reveals footprints left by other players. mmoculture reports that these footprint markers include player ID and timestamp information, which would make them closer to a tracking tool than a simple proximity warning.

There is also a Web Grenade, described by GamingonPhone and mmoculture as a throwable that creates a webbed area restricting anyone caught inside it. Themed supply crates and film-branded airdrop items are mentioned by several outlets.

One caveat on naming. GamingonPhone lists the abilities under different labels — Web-Shooters, Wall Climbing, Web Grenade, Spidey-Sense — rather than tying them to the two garments. The underlying mechanics line up; the item names may differ by region or by patch-note translation.

Where it sits on the map

The sources also disagree on what the themed district is called. Inven Global, Bleeding Cool and ContentGrip call it Central Square, describing a New York-inspired urban area of high-rise blocks, interconnected rooftops and ziplines running from ground level to the roofs. GamingonPhone and mmoculture call it Skyline Plaza. Both descriptions cover the same idea: a dense, vertical city zone built for swinging and climbing.

Inside it sits Peter Parker's apartment, an interactive location with Easter eggs and film references, reported by every source we read. GamingonPhone and mmoculture additionally list a Rescue Photo Zone, a Train Rescue Sequence and a Cemetery Tribute Zone. Inven Global and Bleeding Cool describe tribute points and cinematic photo moments in similar terms.

The content sits in Classic Mode rather than in a separate arcade playlist. There is also a creator-side component: a themed template for World of Wonder, PUBG Mobile's custom-mode builder, which ContentGrip says includes access to the gloves and hoodie mechanics for custom experiences. Inven Global refers to that tool as Craft Ground.

Free rewards, and the dates that matter

The free giveaways are modest and mostly front-loaded.

• A Spider Descent emote, given for logging in on 1 and 2 August 2026.
• An avatar, avatar frame and a Brand New Day ticket, awarded through a quiz challenge that opened alongside the update on 30 July.
• A Friendly Neighbour story arc, unlocked through themed quests, with chapter progression handing out film-themed avatars and frames.

If you missed the login window in early August, that emote is gone. The story-arc rewards are quest-gated rather than date-gated, so they should still be reachable while the event runs.

What keyboard and mouse players should check

We do not run Windows and cannot test this build, so treat the following as things to verify yourself rather than confirmed behaviour. None of the six sources we read publishes a PC keybind layout for the collaboration.

Expect your keymap to need editing. Abilities of this kind normally appear as extra on-screen buttons only once the relevant item is equipped, which means they will not exist in your saved layout until you pick up the gloves or the hoodie in a match. Open the keymap editor with the items equipped — ideally in a training or custom room — rather than discovering the gap mid-fight.

Web-swinging is an aimed, held action on touch. On a mouse, the question to check is whether the swing triggers on a tap or requires a held key, and whether your camera stays under mouse control while airborne or gets partially driven by the swing animation. If the camera is pulled around during a swing, your usual third-person sensitivity may feel wrong specifically during traversal.

Wall running and ceiling traversal push the camera to angles PUBG Mobile rarely asks for. Players who run a low vertical sensitivity for recoil control may find looking straight up sluggish. A separate profile for this event is worth considering.

Finally, treat the themed district as a hot drop. A vertical city with ziplines, scripted set pieces and ability pickups will pull players in, and rooftop fights favour whoever reaches the traversal items first.

What is not confirmed

The end date is the weak point. Inven Global, mmoculture, Bleeding Cool and ContentGrip all give 1 September 2026 as the closing date, with mmoculture specifying 20:59 UTC. GamingonPhone instead lists 14 September 2026. Bleeding Cool also gives the start as 1 August rather than 30 July. Because the sources conflict, we are not treating any end date as confirmed — check the in-game event timer before planning around a deadline.

No source we read describes altered loot tables or spawn rates inside the themed zone, and none gives item names, prices or odds for the paid crates. Nothing here is claimed about either.
