CODM Season 9 "Vampires vs Werewolves" — what's new for GameLoop PC players
The first community-voted season in Call of Duty: Mobile brings the Grav AR, a Leader's Kill Confirmed mode, two haunted maps and a faction war. Here is what is actually in it.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9, Vampires vs Werewolves, went live on Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 5:00 PM PT (00:00 UTC on 15 October). It replaces Season 8, so anything you read that still calls Season 8 the "current season" is out of date.
It is also the first season whose theme was picked by the community: players voted for the setting and for several of the Battle Pass operator skins and weapon blueprints.
Everything below comes from Activision's own Season 9 announcement. Where something has not been published — the season's end date, balance changes, ranked changes — we say so rather than guess.
The new weapon: Grav Assault Rifle
The headline Battle Pass weapon is the Grav AR, and it sits on the free tier, so every player can unlock it. Activision describes it as an assault rifle with high bullet velocity.
On a mouse, high bullet velocity matters most at range: less lead on moving targets, so what you see under your crosshair is closer to what you hit. We have not published tuned attachments or a time-to-kill comparison yet, because no official stat sheet has been released. Treat any "best Grav AR loadout" you see this early as one player's opinion.
Modes and maps
- Leader's Kill Confirmed (new LTM): each team has one mech-equipped Leader that both sides can see. The Leader's tag is worth more than a normal one, and the role passes to someone else when the Leader dies. Regular operators gain special abilities as the match goes on.
- Attack of the Undead returns on two Halloween maps, Haunted Hacienda and Haunted Standoff. Both maps also get their own 24/7 playlists at different points in the season.
- Street Fighter modes Shoryu and Hadoken are back, as is Honkai: Gleaming Front (with some tweaks).
For keyboard players, a highly visible, high-value target like the Leader is easier to focus with a mouse than with a thumb. If your team is calling targets, the Leader is the one to call.
Events
Fang Wars
You choose a side, Vampires or Werewolves. Each faction has its own reward blueprint:
- Vampires: SO-14 — Moonlit
- Werewolves: Type 25 — Lone Wolf
Both sides can also earn Purifier — Deadly Nightshade, Type 19 — Petal Pattern and a Swagger Strongbox. Players on the winning faction get a Gold calling card.
Call of the Dead
This is the Día de Muertos event. You collect Howlbones, and 100 Howlbones unlock the K-9 Unit — Fantasma scorestreak skin. Event rewards also include the Contact Grenade — Calaverita and the Cluster Grenade — Pan de Muerto.
Premium Battle Pass highlights
These are the community-voted designs:
- Minotaur — Pack Commander
- Sparrowhawk — Moonlight Vengeance
- CX9 — Wolven Moonrise
- 3-Line Rifle — Cantus Rubra
What has not been announced
- Season end date: not published. We will add it when Activision confirms it.
- Weapon balance changes: the official announcement does not list any. If you see specific buff or nerf numbers, check where they came from.
- Ranked changes: none stated.
On GameLoop
The season update is delivered through the game itself, not through a GameLoop update. If CODM fails to launch or gets stuck on a blank screen after the update, our GameLoop CODM errors guide covers the usual fixes. If you are setting up from scratch, start with the GameLoop CODM install guide.
