How to Install GameLoop and Play CODM on PC (2026 Complete Setup Guide)

If you want to play Call of Duty Mobile on PC, GameLoop is the official emulator from Tencent — and this guide walks you through every step from download to your first match.

What You Need Before Starting

Before downloading, make sure your PC meets these minimum requirements:

Step 1: Download GameLoop from the Official Source

Go to the official GameLoop website (gameloop.fun) and click the Download button. The installer is around 500 MB.

Important: Only download from the official site. Third-party download sites sometimes bundle adware or outdated versions.

Step 2: Install GameLoop

Run the downloaded installer (.exe file).
Choose your install directory — the default (C:\TxGameAssistant) works fine, but if your C: drive is limited, pick a drive with at least 30 GB free.
Click Install and wait. The process takes 2–5 minutes depending on your drive speed.
When complete, GameLoop will launch automatically.

Step 3: Download Call of Duty Mobile

Once GameLoop is open:

In the GameLoop home screen, use the search bar at the top and type Call of Duty Mobile.
Click the CODM icon and then Download.
The in-emulator downloader will fetch the game — this is usually 3–6 GB and takes 10–30 minutes depending on your connection.
Once the download finishes, click Play to launch CODM.

Tip: If you already have CODM files from a previous installation, GameLoop can sometimes reuse the APK to save download time. But for most users, the built-in downloader is the easiest path.

Step 4: Sign In to Your Account

When CODM launches, you can log in with:

Activision account (recommended — works across all platforms)
Google account
Facebook account
Guest (no account required, but progress won't transfer)

If you have an existing mobile account, use the same sign-in method here to carry over your progress, skins, and Battle Pass.

Step 5: Configure Keyboard and Mouse

GameLoop automatically applies a basic key mapping for CODM. The default layout maps WASD for movement, mouse for aiming, and common keys for abilities. You can adjust this:

Press F1 (or click the keyboard icon in the corner) while CODM is running to open the Key Mapping editor.
To move a button, click it and drag it to a new position on screen.
To change a key, right-click a button and choose Change Key.
Click Save when done.

Recommended changes for CODM:

Map Reload to R (default is sometimes awkward)
Map Jump to Space
Map Sprint to Shift (hold to sprint) or Caps Lock (toggle)
Map Crouch to C or Ctrl
Map Switch Weapon to mouse scroll wheel
Map Aim Down Sights to right mouse button hold

Your key mapping is saved per-game and per-profile, so you can have different layouts for different games.

Step 6: Set Sensitivity

Getting your sensitivity right is the most important part of PC CODM. GameLoop handles sensitivity differently from native mobile:

Inside CODM, go to Settings → Sensitivity.
Start with these baseline values and adjust from there:

For DPI: 800 DPI is the most common starting point. If your aim feels too fast, lower DPI. If it feels sluggish, raise it.
Go to the training range and practice for 5–10 minutes before adjusting. Small changes feel bigger in-game than you expect.

Step 7: Optimize Performance Settings

In GameLoop:

Click the Settings gear icon in the top right of the emulator.
Go to Engine → Performance Mode and enable it.
Set Rendering to the highest setting your GPU supports.
In CODM, go to Settings → Graphics:

- Set Frame Rate to High or Very High (60 or 90 FPS) - Set Graphics to Medium or High depending on your GPU - Enable Smooth gameplay if you have frame drops

Step 8: Enable 90 FPS (if your PC supports it)

CODM on GameLoop supports up to 90 FPS in Season 7 and beyond:

In CODM Settings → Graphics, set Frame Rate to Very High (90 FPS).
In GameLoop Settings, make sure the frame rate limit is not capped at 60.
Check your actual FPS with the in-game FPS counter (Settings → Basic → Show FPS).

If the Very High option is locked, check that your GameLoop and CODM are both on the latest version.

Common First-Time Issues and Fixes

GameLoop is stuck on a loading screen

Close GameLoop completely, reopen it, and try again. If it keeps happening, check your antivirus — it may be blocking GameLoop processes. Add GameLoop to your antivirus exclusions.

CODM says "network error" or can't connect

GameLoop uses a virtual network adapter. Try:

Go to GameLoop Settings → Network → Reset Network.
Restart your router.
If you use a VPN, disconnect it — CODM blocks most VPN IPs.

The game window is too small or too large

Go to GameLoop Settings → Display and adjust the resolution. 1920×1080 is the standard for most monitors.

Keyboard mapping isn't saving

Make sure you click Save inside the key mapping editor, then click Apply in the main settings panel. Changes don't take effect until both steps are complete.

GameLoop says I need a 64-bit system

If you're on Windows 32-bit, GameLoop won't run. CODM requires a 64-bit OS. You would need to upgrade your Windows installation.

Keeping GameLoop Updated

GameLoop updates automatically when you launch it, but if the auto-update fails:

Open GameLoop.
Click the menu icon (top right) → About GameLoop.
Click Check for Updates.

CODM itself updates in-game. When a new season launches, you'll see an update prompt the next time you start CODM.
