How to Enable VTX Virtualization in BIOS for GameLoop
GameLoop requires hardware virtualization (VT-x/AMD-V) to run smoothly on PC. Here is how to enable it in your BIOS settings.
GameLoop uses hardware virtualization to emulate Android efficiently on Windows. If you see errors about virtualization being disabled, you need to enable VT-x (Intel) or AMD-V (AMD) in your BIOS.
Why GameLoop needs virtualization
GameLoop is built on an Android emulator that uses your CPU's virtualization features to run mobile games at native speed. Without it, performance is poor or the emulator fails to start.
Step 1: Find out your CPU and motherboard brand
Before entering BIOS, know your CPU (Intel or AMD) and motherboard brand (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.) since menu layouts differ.
Step 2: Enter BIOS
Restart your PC and press the BIOS key as the screen lights up. Common keys: Delete, F2, F10, or F12. The key is usually shown briefly on screen during boot.
Step 3: Enable virtualization
Intel (VT-x): Navigate to Advanced → CPU Configuration → Intel Virtualization Technology → Enabled
AMD (AMD-V / SVM): Navigate to Advanced → CPU Configuration → SVM Mode → Enabled
The exact menu names vary by motherboard brand. Look for "Virtualization Technology," "VT-x," "SVM," or "AMD-V."
Step 4: Save and restart
Press F10 to save and exit, then confirm. Your PC will restart with virtualization enabled.
Verify in Windows
After rebooting, open Task Manager → Performance → CPU. You should see Virtualization: Enabled.
Still not working?
If GameLoop still shows errors after enabling virtualization, make sure Hyper-V and Windows Sandbox are disabled in Windows Features — they can conflict with GameLoop's virtualization layer.
