GameLoop system requirements — there is no official list, and the ones circulating disagree
Tencent publishes no system requirements for GameLoop anywhere. Three different lists circulate online and they contradict each other. Here is how much weight each one deserves.
Anyone searching for GameLoop's system requirements finds three different lists and no way to tell which is right. The reason is simple, and rarely stated:
Tencent does not publish an official system requirements list for GameLoop.
The official product page offers marketing language only: "no VT required", "better performance across all PC models, especially low-spec machines". No specific CPU, GPU or RAM figure. Several guide sites note the gap explicitly.
The lists in circulation
| Source | OS | CPU | GPU | RAM | Disk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FileHorse | Windows 10/11 (64-bit) | Core i3 / AMD 2.6 GHz | GTX 660 | 4 GB | 1 GB |
| Common "minimum" | Win 7 / 8.1 / 10 (64-bit) | i3 560 3.3 GHz or Phenom II X4 945 | GTX 460 / HD 5870, DX11, 1 GB VRAM | — | 1 GB |
| TechSpot | Win 7 / 8 / 10 | — | — | — | 1.5 GB with PUBG Mobile installed |
All three differ. FileHorse says Windows 10 and above; the others still count Windows 7. One list asks for a GTX 660, another for a GTX 460 — two generations apart.
What actually matters in practice
With no official list, here is what can be said honestly — not as a specification, but as engineering reality that follows from how emulation works:
- RAM is the critical line item. The emulator reserves a fixed block of memory for the Android system, then loads the game on top of it. Running a mobile game alongside Windows on 4 GB total is heavy going; 8 GB is a realistic floor and 16 GB is comfortable.
- VT (virtualisation) is not required but helps. The claim that GameLoop runs without VT is accurate; so is the fact that performance is noticeably better with it enabled. If Intel VT-x / AMD-V is on in your BIOS, leave it on.
- The 32-bit / 64-bit engine choice is a performance setting. 64-bit addresses more memory — but Call of Duty Mobile has a crash issue GameLoop itself has acknowledged, and there you need to fall back to 32-bit.
- Disk space runs higher than the lists suggest. The 1–1.5 GB figure covers the emulator only. Games install through AppMarket, and PUBG Mobile alone takes several gigabytes.
Where to get it
Take the emulator only from the manufacturer's own site. Packages distributed as "modded GameLoop", "cheat build" or "premium unlocked" are the most common carrier of account-stealing malware in this niche — and an emulator is software that runs on your system with high privileges.
We host no download links on this site. That is why.
Update commitment: If Tencent publishes an official requirements list, we will update this article and note the change at the foot of the page. You can report hardware that does or does not work in your own setup to hello@gameloop.blog.
