PUBG Mobile 4.5 is live — the Naruto crossover has started, Spider-Man arrives 30 July
The 4.5 update landed on 9 July with the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN crossover. The content period runs to 7 September, and a separate Spider-Man crossover arrives on 30 July.
PUBG Mobile's 4.5 update went live on 9 July 2026. The part that matters for emulator players: the content period runs until 7 September 2026, so missing the launch window is not fatal.
What shipped
The NARUTO SHIPPUDEN crossover is the headline. A mode called "NARUTO: Ninjas Assemble" brings the Rasengan, Chidori and Shadow Clone jutsus into the game. It was announced as one of the largest crossovers PUBG Mobile has run.
Alongside it:
- The return of the Sea Odyssey mode, first introduced in version 3.3
- A Scuderia Ferrari HP crossover
- New additions on the WOW and Metro Royale side
A separate Spider-Man crossover follows on 30 July 2026, with web-slinging and wall-climbing mechanics.
Season status
The current season is reported to be Season 31, which began on 16 July 2026 (UTC+0). The notable detail is that the game appears to have dropped its old "C10S3" cycle naming in favour of a flat "Season 31" format — but we could not confirm that through an official channel, and it rests on a single source.
What it means on the emulator
PUBG Mobile has kept emulator players in a separate matchmaking pool since 2018: play on an emulator and you are not matched against touchscreen players. GameLoop is the officially recognised emulator for that pool and is integrated with the game's anti-cheat.
The practical consequence is that new season launches usually require a security-component update on the emulator side. GameLoop's own last verifiable release note said exactly that — "Updated security components for PUBG Mobile." But that note dates back to October 2025.
If you cannot get into matchmaking after a game update, run GameLoop's own updater first, then update the game through AppMarket.
