CODM Season 7 Terminated — Patch Notes, Download Size & What Changed on GameLoop PC

Everything that changed in CODM Season 7 Terminated — confirmed content, download size, and what the patch means for GameLoop PC players.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7, named Terminated, arrived on 5 August 2026. This page covers the confirmed content changes, what to expect for download size, and anything that affects PC play on GameLoop specifically.

Download size

Season patches for CODM are delivered as in-game updates, not through GameLoop. On launch day the download typically runs between 1.5 GB and 3.5 GB depending on your platform version, how many previous patches you have installed cleanly, and whether the game detects any file integrity issues.

If you receive a larger prompt — 5 GB or above — the game is likely rebuilding local files, not just applying the season delta. This is normal after major updates.

GameLoop cache note: GameLoop stores the game in its own sandbox. The update runs through the in-game launcher, not through GameLoop itself. After patching, the first launch may take longer than normal — this is shader compilation, not a hang. Let it run.

New weapon

Cronen Squall — The single new weapon added in Season 7 Terminated. The Cronen Squall is an assault rifle with low recoil and reliable accuracy, obtainable through the Season 7 Battle Pass. On GameLoop, AR-class weapons benefit from the mouse's advantage in controlled bursts and recoil management — the Cronen Squall's low-recoil profile translates well to PC play. The Cronen Squall guide for GameLoop covers attachment setups.

New game modes

Operator Skill Overdrive (Multiplayer) — A free-for-all mode where players collect, upgrade, and fuse Operator Skills into more powerful Fusion Skills. The progression within a match creates escalating ability use as skills are fused. On GameLoop, Operator Skill activation is mapped to a dedicated keybind — confirm yours is set before joining the mode for the first time.

Hardpoint: Mayhem (Multiplayer) — A role-based Hardpoint variant where each player is assigned one of three roles: Anchor, Rover, or Controller. Each role carries unique loadouts and scoring behaviors. The mode rewards coordinated play; solo queue performance is less predictable than in standard Hardpoint.

Lockdown (Battle Royale) — A new BR format on Rebirth Island. Rather than last-squad-standing, Lockdown is objective-based: squads capture and defend control points, with active respawns throughout the match. The respawn mechanic makes aggressive play more sustainable than in standard BR. On GameLoop, the Overload BR class (equipped with a Shock Stick to interrupt enemies) pairs naturally with Lockdown's capture objectives.

Crossover — Terminator 2: Judgment Day

The central crossover for Season 7 is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Two operators are available:

  • T-800 — the classic endoskeleton Terminator
  • T-1000 — the liquid-metal shapeshifter, with a form-switching animation mechanic

The "It Goes Two" store bundle packages both operators with Legendary weapon blueprints.

On GameLoop, crossover operators equip through the standard loadout screen with no additional steps. Terminator intro animations play during lobby or round start — they add a few seconds to round loading but require no configuration.

The Terminator crossover includes time-limited event missions rewarding in-game items. Track progress in the Events tab of the main lobby.

Arcade Event — free operator and blueprints

The Arcade Event is Season 7's primary free-rewards track. Playing the three new Season 7 modes (Operator Skill Overdrive, Hardpoint: Mayhem, or Lockdown) earns event currency. Completing the Arcade Event track rewards:

  • Jet — Golden Flaw operator (free, no purchase required)
  • 5 Epic weapon blueprints

The event is time-limited to Season 7. Progress is tracked in the Events tab.

COD Points Rush — weekly missions

COD Points Rush runs through Season 7 with weekly mission rotations. Completing each week's mission set within the deadline rewards a time-limited amount of COD Points. Missions appear in the Missions tab; the weekly objectives change each week.

Ranked season reset

Ranked resets with every new season. Season 7 starts a new ranked ladder. Your Season 6 rank is preserved as a historical record; Season 7 placements begin fresh, with initial bracket placement based on your previous season's ending rank.

What did not change in Season 7

  • No new Battle Royale map — Isolated remains the main BR map; Rebirth Island is the Lockdown-mode location
  • No new multiplayer map — Nuketown receives a seasonal visual refresh but no layout changes
  • No 1v1 respawn mechanic — Lockdown uses active respawns, not the single-combat respawn format featured in previous seasons
  • No dedicated vehicle racing mode — the RC-XD killstreak remains available in standard play; no stand-alone racing mode was added this season
  • Single brand collaboration only — the Terminator 2: Judgment Day crossover is the sole licensed collaboration in Season 7 Terminated; no other franchise crossover is included
