CODM Season 7 Terminated FAQ — Your GameLoop PC Questions Answered

The most common questions about playing Call of Duty Mobile Season 7 Terminated on GameLoop PC, answered before and after launch.

Season 7 is days away — or already live by the time you read this. These are the questions GameLoop PC players ask most, answered in one place.

Do I need to update GameLoop itself for Season 7?

No. There is no new GameLoop release required for Season 7. The current GameLoop build (the one you already have) runs Season 7. The season patch delivers entirely through the in-game updater inside Call of Duty: Mobile — the same way every previous season has arrived.

Do not uninstall or reinstall GameLoop. Do not download anything labelled "GameLoop Season 7 update" from third-party sites. Those do not exist, and anything using that framing is not a legitimate file.

When does the Season 7 patch arrive in GameLoop?

The game shows the update prompt the next time you open Call of Duty: Mobile through GameLoop after the patch goes live. You do not need to take any action beforehand — the prompt appears on its own.

The download runs inside the game. Once you tap the update button, GameLoop continues running in the background while the game client downloads the Season 7 files (typically 1–3 GB for a major patch).

Will Season 7 reset my keybinds and settings?

Yes, in most cases. Major season patches routinely reset custom keybind layouts to the default configuration. They also reset graphics settings — render mode, frame rate cap, and resolution — to defaults.

Before the patch drops, screenshot your current keybind layout so you can restore it in under two minutes after update. Open Settings → Controls and take one screenshot of each tab.

After the update lands, go to Settings → Controls and rebuild your layout before your first match. Then go to Settings → Graphics and restore your preferred renderer and frame rate. The settings guide covers the recommended values for Season 7 specifically.

Is the Terminator crossover available from day one?

Yes. The Terminator × Call of Duty: Mobile crossover — including the T-800 operator blueprint, themed weapon blueprints, and associated event missions — is part of the Season 7 launch content and available from the moment the season goes live. It is not time-gated within the season.

The crossover content is split between draw-based items (available in the store) and event missions that unlock cosmetics through gameplay. The event missions are available to all players and do not require the battle pass.

What new weapons are in Season 7?

Season 7 Terminated adds the Cronen Squall — an assault rifle built around low recoil and consistent accuracy at range. It is available through the Season 7 battle pass. On GameLoop PC, the Cronen Squall rewards precise mouse tracking over flick-based play; its reliable recoil pattern suits a calmer, controlled aim style.

The battle pass also includes new operator skins and weapon blueprints available at various tiers. Free track rewards include cosmetics earnable through the Arcade Event by playing Operator Skill Overdrive, Hardpoint: Mayhem, and Lockdown modes.

Is my ranked season reset in S7?

Yes. Season 7 brings a full ranked season reset. Your Legendary or Grandmaster rank from Season 6 does not carry over. The reset moves all players down by a fixed number of divisions — the exact amount varies by final season rank — and Season 7 ranked play opens from there.

This means players who finished Season 6 in Legendary will start Season 7 several divisions below Legendary, not at Iron. The rank reset guide explains the division math and the fastest route back up the ladder for GameLoop PC players specifically.

Will Season 7 run smoothly on GameLoop, or should I expect performance issues?

The first session or two after a major patch typically have some frame drops and brief stutters. This is expected and happens on every platform — the game compiles new shaders in the background during the first play session, and that process uses CPU headroom that would otherwise go to frame delivery.

Do not lower your settings immediately after the update. Give it one or two complete matches before judging. The stutter usually clears by the end of the first session.

If performance drops persist after the first two sessions, follow the Season 7 settings guide to reconfigure GameLoop for the new season. Some Season 7 maps use more draw calls than Season 6 maps, and a renderer switch from DirectX+ to DirectX (or vice versa) can recover 10–20% frame time on older GPUs.

Does Ricochet anti-cheat work with GameLoop? Will I get banned?

GameLoop is an official Tencent product. Ricochet — the anti-cheat system used in Call of Duty: Mobile — does not flag or ban GameLoop users for using the emulator itself. Playing CODM through GameLoop is the intended PC experience for mobile players and is explicitly supported by Tencent, which makes both GameLoop and CODM.

What Ricochet does flag are cheating tools: aimbots, wallhacks, timing exploits, and similar software. Using GameLoop in its standard configuration does not trigger Ricochet. The is-gameloop-safe article covers this in more detail.

The update keeps stopping mid-download — what do I do?

If the in-game downloader stalls at a fixed percentage and does not move for more than five minutes:

  1. Close Call of Duty: Mobile (not GameLoop — just the game client).
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Reopen CODM through GameLoop.
  4. The updater will resume from where it stopped in most cases.

If the download fails entirely and shows an error:

  1. Close CODM and reopen it.
  2. The client will re-check local files and re-download only the damaged segment, not the full patch.

If you are downloading through a VPN, disconnect the VPN before resuming. VPN routing consistently reduces download speeds because it routes traffic away from the nearest content delivery node.

The most complete troubleshooting list is in the Season 7 problems guide, which covers crashes, black screens, login loops, and download failures for GameLoop specifically.

I started the game but there is no Season 7 content — why?

Two likely causes:

The patch has not downloaded yet. If you opened the game and dismissed the update prompt without completing the download, the game launches in Season 6 mode. Close CODM, reopen it through GameLoop, and this time complete the download before playing.

Server queues during launch hours. The first few hours after a season goes live, Activision/TiMi servers process millions of simultaneous logins and downloads. If Season 7 content does not appear immediately after downloading, log out of Call of Duty: Mobile and log back in. The season content should load after a fresh login.

If neither applies and the game consistently shows Season 6 after a complete download, open GameLoop's virtual file manager and clear the CODM cache. This forces the client to re-request the current season's content manifest.
