State of Survival on GameLoop PC: Setup, Keymapping, and Tips for 2026
State of Survival is a long-session zombie strategy MMO. Managing your base, your alliance, and the wilderness map is far more comfortable with a mouse than on a phone. Here is the full GameLoop setup.
State of Survival is a zombie survival strategy game developed by FunPlus International. You build and manage a base called a Settlement, rescue and upgrade Heroes, train survivor troops, gather resources from the wilderness, and participate in large-scale alliance warfare against players from around the world. Like most strategy MMOs, it rewards regular check-ins over long uninterrupted sessions — construction, research, and troop training all run on timers, and alliance events fire at scheduled intervals.
FunPlus does not publish an official Windows client for State of Survival. The only way to play on PC is through an Android emulator. GameLoop handles State of Survival well: the game is available in Game Center, the mouse maps naturally to the tap-and-drag interface, and the emulator runs without the battery drain and thermal throttling that affects phones during extended sessions.
Why Play State of Survival on PC
Map navigation is substantially easier. The wilderness map in State of Survival contains hundreds of resource tiles, enemy zombie nodes, other players' settlements, and event zones. On a phone screen, finding specific tile coordinates or tracking incoming enemy marches requires constant zooming and scrolling. On a monitor you can hold a wide view that shows your surrounding territory at a readable scale.
Mouse precision speeds up routine tasks. Collecting resources from multiple tiles, dispatching heroes on Explorer tasks, managing building queues, and navigating deep research trees all involve many small taps in quick succession. A mouse is considerably faster than a thumb for menu-heavy management.
No battery drain or thermal limits. State of Survival is designed to run in the background — timers advance, alliance events can trigger at any moment, and enemies can attack your settlement while you are doing other things. Running it on PC means you can leave the game open without worrying about your phone heating up or the battery dropping to 10% at a critical moment.
Multi-account play. Many experienced State of Survival players maintain a main account and one or more farming settlements on the same server, or play across multiple servers. GameLoop's multi-instance feature lets you run two settlements simultaneously in separate windows.
System Requirements
State of Survival is not a demanding game. It was designed for Android hardware from 2018–2021. Any modern PC runs it without difficulty.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core i3 (6th gen+) | Intel Core i5 / Ryzen 5 |
| RAM | 4 GB (game uses ~1.5 GB per instance) | 8 GB (for dual instance) |
| GPU | Integrated graphics | Any dedicated GPU |
| Storage | 5 GB free | 10 GB free |
| OS | Windows 7 64-bit | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
If you plan to run two instances at once, 8 GB of RAM is the practical minimum. 16 GB makes it comfortable with other applications running.
Installation
- Open GameLoop and click Game Center in the left sidebar.
- Search for "State of Survival".
- Click Install. The initial download is approximately 600 MB, with additional in-game data downloaded on first launch (~1.5 GB total).
- Once installed, click Play.
If State of Survival does not appear in Game Center: Download the APK from APKPure (apkpure.com) and drag the file directly into the GameLoop window. GameLoop installs it automatically. Use this fallback only if Game Center fails.
Account login: State of Survival supports login via Facebook, Apple ID, Google Play Games, or guest mode. If you have an existing settlement on mobile, log in with the same method to load it on PC. If you have been playing as a guest, switch to a linked account on mobile first — Settings → Account → Link Account — before opening the game on GameLoop. Guest accounts are tied to the device and cannot be recovered on a new installation.
Keymapping
State of Survival is a menu-driven strategy game. It does not require reflex-based controls, but a few key bindings make navigation noticeably faster.
Open the GameLoop keyboard editor (the keyboard icon at the top right of the window) and apply these bindings:
| Action | Suggested Key |
|---|---|
| Scroll map up | W or ↑ |
| Scroll map down | S or ↓ |
| Scroll map left | A or ← |
| Scroll map right | D or → |
| Zoom in | Mouse scroll wheel up |
| Zoom out | Mouse scroll wheel down |
| Select / Tap | Left mouse click |
| Back / Close menu | Escape |
| World Map | M |
| Settlement (Home) | H |
| Heroes | E |
| Alliance | G |
Map scrolling: GameLoop maps directional keys to the swipe gesture on the game's wilderness map, so WASD scrolls the map in the corresponding direction. Scroll wheel zoom works exactly as expected.
Right-click behaviour: In GameLoop, right-clicking typically triggers the Android back gesture — equivalent to pressing the back button on your phone. In State of Survival's deep menu trees, right-click is an efficient way to back out of a screen without clicking the small X button.
Drag gestures: A small number of State of Survival's actions require a drag — for example, certain rally interfaces or the construction placement UI. GameLoop emulates drag with click-hold and mouse movement. This works without any custom keymapping.
Performance Settings
Open GameLoop Settings (gear icon at the top right of the GameLoop window).
Emulator tab:
- Resolution: 1920×1080
- FPS: 60
- Memory: 3072 MB for a single instance; 2048 MB per instance for two simultaneous instances
Performance tab:
- Set to High Performance
In-game graphics: In State of Survival, go to Settings → Graphics and set to High or Ultra. The game's art style is not renderer-intensive. Even integrated graphics can handle Ultra settings without frame drops at 1080p.
Multi-Instance: Two Settlements Simultaneously
To run two accounts side by side:
- In the GameLoop main window, click Multi-Instance in the left sidebar.
- Click Add Instance → New Instance.
- Allocate memory for the second instance (2048 MB is sufficient).
- Open State of Survival in the second window and log in with your second account.
With two instances running side by side, you can monitor two settlements simultaneously, collect resources, dispatch troops, and respond to alliance events on both accounts without switching between them.
Note on multi-account and terms of service: Running two accounts on the same server for coordinated resource transfers or attack support violates State of Survival's Terms of Service. FunPlus enforces this at the server level based on behaviour patterns, not emulator detection. Two accounts on separate servers, or a dedicated farming settlement that does not interact with your main, is used by many players without incident — but be aware of the policy.
Common Issues and Fixes
Black screen when launching State of Survival:
- Close GameLoop entirely and reopen it.
- Go to GameLoop Settings → Emulator → switch the engine to Compat mode.
- Check that Virtualization (VT-x / AMD-V) is enabled in your BIOS. GameLoop requires hardware virtualization. If you are unsure how to check, search your motherboard model + "enable virtualization BIOS."
"Device not supported" or "cannot connect" error:
- In GameLoop Settings → Emulator → change the Android version to Android 7 or Android 9. State of Survival has compatibility checks that can flag certain emulator configurations. Changing the Android version resets the device signature.
- If the issue persists, try clearing GameLoop's cache: open the game in Game Center, click the three-dot menu on the State of Survival tile, and select Clear Cache.
High ping or slow server response:
- State of Survival's servers are regional. The game auto-routes you to the nearest server based on your IP. Using a VPN or network optimizer like ExitLag that routes through non-local nodes can increase ping. If you notice higher ping than on mobile, check that GameLoop is not routing through a proxy.
The game runs slowly in late-game (large settlement):
- Increase GameLoop's memory allocation to 4096 MB for your instance if your PC has 8 GB or more of RAM.
- Late-game State of Survival settlements load more simultaneous game objects (troops, buildings, active effects). Higher memory allocation reduces the impact.
Push notifications do not arrive:
- Android push notifications do not route through GameLoop to Windows. You will not receive alliance alerts or construction completion pings while the GameLoop window is closed. Open the game manually at regular intervals, or leave the GameLoop window open in the background with the sound on — State of Survival's in-game audio alerts play through GameLoop.
Tips for Long Sessions
State of Survival is built around a rhythm of short check-ins: collect resources, dispatch troops, start construction, complete explorer tasks. PC play fits this pattern well because the game can stay open in a background window all day.
- Use GameLoop's Always on Top mode (Window menu → Pin on Top) to keep the State of Survival window visible over other applications. You can see the wilderness map at a glance without switching focus.
- Enable audio in GameLoop. The game plays sounds for key events — troop arrivals, construction completion, alliance alerts. With the window in the corner of your screen and audio on, you catch events without watching the screen continuously.
- Save a coordinate bookmark for your settlement. The first time you locate your settlement on the wilderness map, use the in-game bookmark feature to save its coordinates. The wilderness map in State of Survival is large enough that navigating back from a scouting run without a bookmark wastes time.
- Assign heroes to Explorer tasks before closing the game. Explorer missions run on a timer independent of whether you are active. Send heroes on the longest tasks available before minimising the window.
FAQ
Can I play my existing mobile settlement on GameLoop? Yes. Log in with the same account method (Facebook, Google, or Apple) and your settlement loads from the server. All buildings, heroes, troops, research, and alliance membership carry over. State of Survival is fully server-side.
Does State of Survival detect GameLoop and ban me? As of 2026, FunPlus does not ban accounts for playing State of Survival on emulators, including GameLoop. Emulator detection is common in mobile games that have fast-tap PvP modes, but State of Survival's combat is server-calculated based on troop power and march speeds — not input reaction time. Many thousands of players use GameLoop for this game without issue.
Will playing on PC give me an advantage? In active map management and alliance event coordination — yes. A PC player can monitor the map more efficiently, navigate menus faster, and execute multiple actions simultaneously. In direct combat, the outcome is determined by troop power, hero skills, research levels, and march composition — factors unrelated to whether you use a phone or emulator.
How do I join an active alliance? From the Alliance tab, search for an open alliance by name or browse the recommended list. Active alliances in State of Survival are critical — construction help, alliance gifts, and coordinated rally events are core mechanics that require an active roster. Look for alliances with daily active member counts above 20 and a stated policy on help requests.
Can I use a controller with GameLoop for State of Survival? You can connect a controller and GameLoop will emulate thumbstick input as map scrolling. Most State of Survival players on PC use mouse-and-keyboard — the game is menu-driven enough that a mouse is faster than a thumbstick for most actions. But controller input works if you prefer it.
