PUBG Mobile mouse sensitivity guide for GameLoop PC — calibrate once, win more

The default sensitivity in PUBG Mobile is built for thumbs. Here is how to set it correctly for a mouse, why the numbers work, and how to find your personal sweet spot without spending hours in the training range.

Sensitivity in PUBG Mobile has two layers: the in-game sliders and the emulator-level mouse mapping. Most guides cover one and ignore the other. That gap is why many PC players spend months with a sensitivity that feels slightly wrong but never identify the problem.

This guide covers both layers, explains the relationship between them, and gives concrete starting points based on DPI. It is evergreen — these principles do not change between seasons.


Two layers, one feeling

When you move the mouse in GameLoop, the movement passes through two conversion steps before the camera moves in-game.

Layer 1 — GameLoop mouse sensitivity. This is the emulator's own multiplier, set in GameLoop's settings (not inside the game). It converts physical mouse movement (in counts) into touchscreen swipe distance. If this is too high, any in-game sensitivity slider loses granularity because the inputs arrive too coarse.

Layer 2 — In-game sensitivity sliders. PUBG Mobile exposes separate sliders for camera (free look), ADS (2× up to 8×), and gyroscope. These scale the touchscreen swipe that GameLoop delivers.

The practical consequence: you cannot tune Layer 2 in isolation. A correct Layer 1 is the prerequisite. Get it wrong and no amount of in-game adjustment will give you consistent micro-adjustments.


Step 1 — Set GameLoop mouse sensitivity (Layer 1)

Open GameLoop → Settings → Display tab → Mouse Sensitivity.

The slider range is 1–100. The default of 50 is calibrated for touch-screen swipe simulation, which translates to movement that is too fast for precise mouse tracking at typical gaming DPI.

Recommended starting values by DPI:

These values produce roughly equivalent physical mouse travel per 90-degree camera rotation. If you use a dedicated gaming mouse with DPI steps, 800 DPI at GameLoop sensitivity 40 is the most common working combination and the reference point for everything that follows.

Lower is more precise. The only reason to go higher is if your mousepad is small and you need to reduce the total distance for a full rotation.


Step 2 — In-game sensitivity sliders (Layer 2)

Inside PUBG Mobile: Settings → Basic → Sensitivity.

PUBG Mobile separates sensitivity by action. The sliders matter in this order:

Camera (free look)

Controls how fast the camera moves when you are not in ADS and not aiming down sights. This is your general awareness look and your hipfire tracking.

Starting point: 100–130

This can be higher than it feels like it should be because GameLoop at the Layer 1 values above already dampened the raw input. 100 is neutral — the camera moves at the "intended" rate for that DPI configuration. Go above if free-look still feels sluggish; go below if your hipfire is erratic.

ADS — No scope / Red Dot / Holographic

Your primary engagement range. Most gunfights in PUBG Mobile happen at this sight level.

Starting point: 60–80

A lower value than camera is intentional. You want faster camera for awareness and slower ADS for precision. The gap between camera and ADS sensitivity is where your aim lives.

ADS — 2× / 3× scope

Mid-range engagements. Drop this 10–15 points below your no-scope ADS.

Starting point: 45–65

ADS — 4× / 6× scope

For burst-fire and target acquisition at distance. Keep this stable — wild swings at 4× lose the target.

Starting point: 30–45

ADS — 8× / 15× scope

Stationary fire only. Lower is more accurate at this magnification.

Starting point: 15–25

Gyroscope

Turn this off unless you are on a phone with physical gyro hardware. GameLoop cannot simulate gyroscope in a useful way for mouse players — the mouse already handles aim. Leaving gyro on at any non-zero value introduces interference with mouse movement.

Set all gyroscope sliders to 0.


The calibration method

Starting points are not your final answer. Calibrate in this order:

1. Training range, sprint circles. Go to the training range and draw three clockwise circles at hipfire while sprinting. Your crosshair should complete the circle in 2–3 seconds with consistent speed. If it jerks, Layer 1 (GameLoop slider) is too high. If the circle takes 5+ seconds, Layer 1 is too low.

2. No-scope box drill. At 15 m, fire single shots at a box target without ADS. You are checking how much correction is required between shots. The cursor should return close to center with minimal effort. Adjust your no-scope ADS slider until corrections are small.

3. 4× plate test. At 100 m, aim at a stationary target through a 4× scope and hold steady for 5 seconds. Mouse resting on the pad, no movement. If the crosshair drifts, check for: - Windows mouse pointer acceleration (turn it off: Control Panel → Mouse → Pointer Options → uncheck "Enhance pointer precision") - GameLoop mouse lock mode (must be "Game Lock", not "Screen Lock")

4. Live match, open zone. Your first three fights in a real match will tell you more than any training range drill. If you are overshooting targets in the first 100 ms, Layer 1 is too high. If you are consistently trailing moving targets by more than a body width, your camera sensitivity is too low.


Windows pointer acceleration — the hidden problem

This deserves its own section because it silently breaks mouse sensitivity regardless of how carefully you tune GameLoop and in-game sliders.

Windows "Enhance Pointer Precision" is an acceleration curve — it moves the cursor faster when you move the mouse faster. On a desktop this is convenient. In a game it means your cursor behavior changes based on how fast you physically move the mouse, which makes any sensitivity calibration meaningless: the game responds differently depending on flick speed.

Turn it off permanently:

  1. Windows search → "Mouse settings"
  2. Additional mouse options → Pointer Options
  3. Uncheck "Enhance pointer precision"
  4. Apply

Do this once and it stays off. Your sensitivity will immediately feel lower at slow speeds and more predictable everywhere. This is correct.


Per-mode differences

Battle Royale (Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi, Sanhok): Use the values above. Most gunfights happen at 30–150 m, which is the range your no-scope and 2×/4× sliders need to cover.

Team Deathmatch: TDM maps are close-quarters. Raise your camera and no-scope ADS by 10–15 points, or adjust Layer 1 upward by 5. Lower the 4×/6× sliders further — they matter less in TDM.

Payload / Arena: Closer fights than BR, longer than TDM. Interpolate: raise camera slightly, keep ADS where it is.

Sniper Training mode: Use this to calibrate 6× and 8× sliders directly. The targets are at known distances and stationary, which removes variables.

This is a starting point. Run the calibration steps in the training range and make adjustments based on what you observe, not based on what a ranked player is using. Their hardware, DPI, and mousepad size are different from yours.


What to keep stable once calibrated

Once you have a working configuration, do not change the DPI on your mouse without re-tuning Layer 1. Doubling your DPI and halving the GameLoop slider sounds equivalent in theory — in practice the non-linear processing in GameLoop means they do not cancel out exactly. Pick a DPI and keep it.

Similarly, do not adjust both Layer 1 and in-game sliders at the same time. Change one variable, play two to three matches, evaluate. Changing both simultaneously makes it impossible to know which change helped.

Consistency matters more than finding a "perfect" number. Most top players are using settings that are within 10–15 points of average — they have kept the same settings long enough to develop muscle memory, which is the actual advantage.
