PUBG Mobile on PC with GameLoop: Setup, Controls, and Emulator Lobbies
GameLoop is the officially supported path for PUBG Mobile on PC. Emulator players get their own lobbies — so you are not fighting touchscreen players — and the mouse advantage is genuine once sensitivity is calibrated.
PUBG Mobile is one of the original reasons GameLoop exists. When Tencent built the emulator, PUBG Mobile was the title it was designed around, which is why the pairing runs smoother than most mobile-to-PC emulation. The game is in GameLoop's Game Center, the keymapping defaults are usable, and emulator lobbies keep you matched against other PC players rather than touchscreen opponents.
Install
- Open GameLoop and select Game Center from the left sidebar.
- Search for PUBG MOBILE and click Install. The game downloads through GameLoop's own channel — do not use an APK from an outside source.
- On first launch, sign in with your Google Play Games, Facebook, or Twitter account. Your rank, skins, and battle pass progress are tied to this account, not to the device. The game loads your data the moment you authenticate.
- If you play on mobile and have a guest account, link it inside the mobile app under Settings → Account before switching to PC. Guest data cannot be recovered on a new installation without this step.
The first launch takes several minutes. PUBG Mobile downloads a significant chunk of assets after the base install. Let the progress bar complete before navigating to the lobby.
Emulator lobbies
PUBG Mobile detects the emulator at the system level. Players on GameLoop — and other emulators — are placed into emulator-only matchmaking pools for most modes. In practice this means:
- Classic mode: emulator players are matched together. You will not land in a lobby that is 98 players on touch.
- Some limited-time modes pool all platforms. This is disclosed in the mode description.
- Emulator detection is accurate enough that manually reporting the device type is unnecessary.
Using GameLoop's official release does not trigger the game's anti-cheat in the way that injected APKs or unofficial emulators might. The official GameLoop build is the lowest-risk path.
Controls and keymapping
GameLoop installs a default keymapping for PUBG Mobile. The defaults are functional but most players adjust them within the first few sessions.
Movement is WASD by default, which is standard. Jumping is Space. Prone is Z. These rarely need changing.
Aiming and firing is where the most adjustment happens:
- Left-click fires in ADS (aim-down-sights) mode. Right-click opens ADS.
- The mouse replaces the gyroscope. Moving the mouse while scoped controls where your crosshair tracks — which is the primary advantage of PC play.
- Recoil control: drag the mouse slightly downward while firing. The same motion that CODM and other mobile shooters reward. Emulator lobbies reward this skill more than touch lobbies because your opponents are doing it too.
Sensitivity settings affect how far the crosshair moves per unit of mouse movement. PUBG Mobile has separate sensitivity sliders for each scope level inside the game's own settings menu (not GameLoop's). Finding your working sensitivity usually takes two to three drop-in sessions. Start conservative — if aiming feels floaty, lower the value; if it snaps past targets, lower it further.
Keymapping tips:
- Add a dedicated key for Peek Left / Peek Right if you do not already have them. The peek system is mobile-touch-native and does not bind to mouse by default.
- Auto Sprint mapped to a thumb button (if you have a gaming mouse) saves the Shift hold over long runs.
- Map and Inventory default to M and I respectively, which are comfortable and rarely need changing.
Performance settings
PUBG Mobile is more GPU-demanding than CODM. Recommended starting point:
- In GameLoop engine settings: set resolution to 1280×720. Higher resolutions help visibility but push GPU load significantly.
- Allocate at least 6 GB of RAM to the emulator.
- Enable Virtualization in your BIOS if frames feel inconsistent. PUBG Mobile is one of the titles that benefits most from hardware virtualization.
- In the in-game graphics settings, start at Smooth quality with Frame Rate at High (60 fps). Once stable, move to Balanced if your GPU can sustain it without frame drops in landing zones.
Common issues
Stuck on the loading screen after install. The game downloads additional assets in the background during the first run. Wait five minutes before concluding something is broken. If it stalls entirely, close GameLoop from the system tray and relaunch.
Failed to connect / Network error in lobby. Check that GameLoop is allowed through Windows Firewall. Windows Defender sometimes blocks the emulator's network adapter on new installs.
Emulator detection warning. GameLoop's official release does not produce this. If you see an unusual emulator warning, your GameLoop installation may be modified. Uninstall, download a fresh copy from the official GameLoop site, and reinstall.
Low FPS despite capable hardware. Check the Process Priority in Task Manager after launching — Windows sometimes gives GameLoop a lower priority than a background update process. Setting it to Above Normal recovers frames on systems that have the headroom.
