PUBG Mobile 4.6 patch day on GameLoop PC — full update checklist (September 2026)

4.6 arrives on 9 September. Here is the complete checklist: how to update, which settings reset, how to protect your keymaps, and what to do on Season 32 Day 1.

The three dates every GameLoop PC player needs in their calendar right now:

  • 7 September — Ultimate Royale window closes (four days before the classic season)
  • 9 September — PUBG Mobile 4.6 update releases
  • 11 September — Season 31 classic ranked season closes

That order matters. If you are still chasing Ultimate Royale rewards, your real deadline is the 7th, not the 11th. After the 9th, the client on GameLoop will need to update before you can enter any match — and after the 11th, Season 32 takes over with a fresh rank ladder.

This checklist works through each phase: what to finish before the patch, how to get GameLoop updated on the day, which settings are likely to need a recheck, and how to protect your keymaps through the transition.

Before 7 September: Ultimate Royale final tasks

Ultimate Royale runs on a separate clock from the classic ranked season. The window closes UTC midnight on 7 September 2026.

If you are still in progress:

  • Check your current level against any guaranteed reward tiers. The last meaningful threshold is visible in the Ultimate Royale progress screen. If you are close, plan your BP spend now.
  • Play Ranked, not Quick Match. Ranked games provide the most consistent RP per hour, and Ultimate Royale progress is RP-gated. Quick Match funnels into a less efficient track.
  • Do not wait for 9 September. The 4.6 patch drops two days after the Ultimate Royale window closes. Anyone who plans to chase the last rewards after the update will miss them entirely.

Before 9 September: Season 31 classic season cleanup

After the Ultimate Royale window, you still have until 11 September to finish Season 31 classic ranked tasks.

Use this window for:

  • Finish the Royale Pass season missions. Any unclaimed XP or missions expire when the season closes. Open the pass screen and clear whatever is completable in the remaining sessions.
  • Redeem any vouchers or coupons that are season-specific. Check the in-game Shop → Coupons tab. Seasonal coupons disappear with the season; Outfit fragments and UC carry over.
  • Reach your target ranked tier before the season closes. Once Season 32 begins, your rank resets to the soft-reset bracket for the new season. Diamond and above players drop to Platinum equivalent; Conqueror resets further. Finishing Season 31 at the highest tier you can reach sets a better baseline for Season 32's early matches.

9 September: how to update PUBG Mobile on GameLoop PC

PUBG Mobile major updates — version changes like 4.5 → 4.6 — require a full patch download that typically runs between 600 MB and 1.5 GB. GameLoop handles this automatically, but there are two paths depending on how you have GameLoop configured.

Path A: GameLoop detects the update at launch

When you open GameLoop and click into PUBG Mobile, the client checks for a pending update. If one is found, a download screen appears before you can enter the main lobby.

  1. Let the download finish completely before doing anything else. Interrupting a PUBG Mobile update mid-download can corrupt the local package and require a full reinstall of the game.
  2. After the download, the client will apply the patch files and restart the in-game client automatically.
  3. Wait for the main lobby to load before closing GameLoop or switching away.

Path B: manual check if GameLoop does not auto-prompt

If GameLoop has been open for a while and the update prompt has not appeared:

  1. Close PUBG Mobile from within GameLoop (do not just alt-tab; use the in-game exit).
  2. In the GameLoop launcher, find PUBG Mobile in your installed games list.
  3. Click the arrow next to the Play button and select Check for Update (some GameLoop versions label this Repair).
  4. The patcher will download and apply the update.

Download time estimate

On a typical home connection (50 Mbps), a 1 GB patch takes about 3 minutes of active download time. On slower connections (10 Mbps), budget 15–20 minutes. Start the update before your planned session begins rather than during peak evening hours when servers are under heavy load.

After the update: settings checklist

Major PUBG Mobile updates occasionally reset graphics or control settings, particularly when the update changes available options (new quality presets, new toggle categories, engine changes). 4.6 is a full-version update — treat it as a settings-check opportunity even if you do not notice anything obviously wrong.

In PUBG Mobile — Settings → Graphics:

SettingWhat to check
Graphics QualityVerify it did not revert to Smooth or Balanced
Frame RateConfirm it held at your preferred value (Ultra / Extreme)
Anti-AliasingSometimes resets to Off after major patches
ShadowsConfirm your preferred level; high shadows are the biggest FPS cost
Auto-adjustIf enabled, the game may reduce quality mid-match — disable for competitive play

In PUBG Mobile — Settings → Controls:

SettingWhat to check
SensitivityGyroscope and aim sensitivity occasionally reset on major updates
Button layoutConfirm custom button positions are intact
Scope sensitivityCheck all scope magnifications individually

In GameLoop — Keymapping:

GameLoop stores your keymaps locally, outside the PUBG Mobile game data. A PUBG Mobile update does not touch your keymap files. However:

  • If you update GameLoop itself on the same day (occasionally, GameLoop also pushes client updates around major game patch windows), your custom keymaps are preserved as long as you do not use the "Repair" or "Reinstall GameLoop" function — those wipe local data.
  • If you want a backup before patch day: open GameLoop → Settings → Keymapping → Export, and save the file somewhere outside the GameLoop directory.

Season 32 Day 1 priorities

Once the Season 32 lobby loads after the Season 31 close, your first session matters more than most players realise. The early ranked pool in any PUBG Mobile season skews toward returning and regular players — occasional players often wait a week before reinstalling. This creates a brief window where your early placements are worth more tier points relative to the opponents you are matched against.

Day 1 checklist:

  1. Play two or three Ranked matches before doing anything else. Your Season 32 rank placement is partly influenced by your first session. Treat these like you are warming up for a tournament, not like casual pub matches.
  2. Check the new Season 32 Royale Pass missions before your first drop. Some daily and weekly missions track from the moment you log into the new season. Missing day one missions is a permanent RP deficit.
  3. Open the Season 32 gift login calendar. Every major season transition comes with a multi-day login calendar that starts on Day 1 and cannot be retroactively claimed.
  4. Visit the in-game Shop for any Season 32 introductory offers. These are typically time-limited to the first 7–14 days of the season.
  5. Verify your keymapping after the seasonal lobby change. Occasionally, the seasonal lobby introduces a new button (event menu shortcut, etc.) that overlaps an existing keymap slot. A quick test in Training Mode catches this before it costs you a ranked game.

Frequently asked questions

Will my progress, skins, and UC carry over from Season 31 to Season 32? Yes. UC, purchased outfits, permanent skins, and vehicle skins are permanent items in your account. Season 31 ranked rewards (the exclusive outfit for reaching Ace or Conqueror) are delivered to your account and stay there permanently. The only things that do not carry over are the Season 31 Royale Pass track progress and any unclaimed season missions.

Does the 4.6 update delete my GameLoop keymaps? No. GameLoop keymaps are stored locally and are separate from the PUBG Mobile game data. A PUBG Mobile version update does not touch your keymap configuration. Only a GameLoop reinstall or the GameLoop Repair function would affect them.

What is the Season 32 ranked reset level? PUBG Mobile uses a soft reset rather than a full reset between seasons. The exact reset tiers are confirmed in the official patch notes released on patch day. A general pattern: Diamond players reset to roughly Platinum IV equivalent; players above Diamond reset proportionally lower. Conqueror is typically reset to Diamond I. Exact brackets for Season 32 will be in the 4.6 patch notes.

Can I play PUBG Mobile on GameLoop during the maintenance window when 4.6 deploys? No. PUBG Mobile global maintenance typically runs 2–4 hours on patch day. During maintenance, the servers are offline and no matches can be created. The GameLoop client will still launch, but the login screen will display a maintenance message. Follow the official PUBG MOBILE social channels for the exact maintenance start and end times.

My GameLoop is showing the update stuck at 99% — what do I do? Do not force-close. A stuck download at high percentage is usually final file verification, which can take 1–3 minutes on HDDs. If it remains stuck for more than 5 minutes: close the GameLoop launcher (not just the game), reopen it, and re-enter PUBG Mobile. The patcher will resume from the verified checkpoint, not from the beginning.

Is Season 32 the last season before a major PUBG Mobile version update? Season 32 details, including any planned anniversary events or version milestone content, will be in the 4.6 patch notes released on 9 September. Check the official PUBG MOBILE channels at that time.
