Mobile Legends on GameLoop: How to Actually Run It Well

Moonton lists GameLoop in their own help documentation. The setup is not complicated, but the default control configuration is wrong — and that one problem explains most of the "controls feel broken" reports.

Moonton has formal emulator partnerships with both GameLoop and BlueStacks. The game installs through GameLoop's Game Center catalog the same way CODM does — no sideloading, no APK hunting. For most players, GameLoop is the lower-friction path.

The controls are where this needs attention before you start a ranked match.

Install

  1. Open GameLoop and search "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" in the Game Center.
  2. Install. The client pulls the Play Store version directly.
  3. Sign in with your Moonton account, or the Google account linked to it. Progress transfers from mobile instantly.
  4. Start Practice Mode before any ranked game — this forces the game to generate its control layout, which you will then fix.

If you play on a guest account on mobile, migrate it before switching to PC: Settings → Account → Bind Account in the mobile app. Guest progress cannot transfer to a new device without this step.

The controls issue

MLBB's movement is a floating joystick — a circle that appears where your thumb lands and follows from there. Raw WASD key bindings do not replicate this. They send discrete key events that the game interprets as eight fixed directional inputs, which produces the stepped, imprecise movement feel that sends players to forums asking whether GameLoop is broken.

The fix is a D-pad overlay in GameLoop's keymapping editor, not direct WASD bindings.

How to do it: open the keymapping editor (the keyboard icon in the side toolbar), delete any existing WASD movement binding, add a D-pad control element from the menu, position it over the left half of the screen where the movement joystick appears, and assign W/A/S/D to the four directions. After saving, movement will feel fluid rather than stepped.

A working layout for the rest of the controls:

ActionSuggested Key
Basic attackLeft mouse button
Skill 1Q
Skill 2E
UltimateR
RecallB
View mapTab
Sprint (if applicable)Shift
Confirm / interactF

Skill keys can conflict with D-pad if you assigned Q or E to the D-pad directions. Either use separate keys for skills or set up a layout with D-pad on WASD and skills on the number row.

Performance settings

MLBB is not demanding. A machine that runs CODM at 60fps will handle MLBB without adjustment.

In GameLoop: 4096 MB memory, frame rate cap at 60. In-game: Ultra graphics, 60fps. For 120fps, the toggle must be enabled in GameLoop's performance settings and in MLBB's video settings — both are required.

On PC, Ultra graphics does not cost meaningfully more than High. The mobile power budget that forces the trade-off does not apply here. Run Ultra unless you have a specific reason not to.

Matchmaking

Moonton does not run separate matchmaking queues for emulator players. You queue with mobile players.

This draws complaints in both directions — mobile players who believe a mouse gives an unfair advantage, and PC players who expected a dedicated pool. The situation as of 2026 is that mixed queues have been MLBB's default since launch and Moonton has not changed it. The historical M-Series tournament restriction on emulators was a competitive rule applied to professional play, not a ban enforcement in regular ranked modes. Accounts on GameLoop are not flagged or restricted.

If you are in ranked: the precision advantage of a mouse in a MOBA is real but smaller than in a shooter. Rotation timing, map awareness, and macro decisions are the actual ranked ceiling for most players — and those transfer to PC unchanged.

Questions

Will my account get banned? No. Moonton permits emulator use and documents GameLoop in their own support pages.

Does mobile progress transfer? Yes, instantly — provided you use the same Moonton account. Google-linked accounts work the same way. Guest accounts need to be bound first via the mobile app before switching devices.

Can I use a controller? Yes. Connect via Bluetooth or USB and enable gamepad input in GameLoop's settings. Controller players queue in a separate pool from keyboard-and-mouse players.

Is 120fps worth it? Only if your monitor runs at 120 Hz or higher and your GPU can sustain it through teamfights. MLBB at 60fps is already smooth. The difference between 60 and 120 matters less in a MOBA than in a shooter.

My hero needs a long-press for skillshot aiming. Does that work? Yes. Hold left-click to hold the aiming circle for skillshots, or drag the on-screen skill button if you have touch simulation mode enabled. Both work in GameLoop's keymapping layer.
