BGMI on PC with GameLoop — Install, Controls & Settings Guide (2026)
Battlegrounds Mobile India runs on GameLoop via APK sideload. Mouse aiming and full keyboard controls give a real edge over touch, and the emulator handles BGMI's 90fps mode without throttling.
Battlegrounds Mobile India — BGMI — is Krafton's India-exclusive battle royale. The matchmaking pools are large, competition is high, and the game rewards the kind of precise aiming that a mouse provides far better than a fingertip. This guide covers how to get BGMI running on a Windows PC through GameLoop, how to configure the controls, and which settings to tune first.
Why GameLoop for BGMI
BGMI is not listed in GameLoop's Game Center (it is a Krafton title, not a Tencent one), but the emulator runs it cleanly through APK sideload. The same emulator that handles PUBG Mobile handles BGMI — the engine is structurally similar, and GameLoop's keymapping editor gives you full control over the input layout.
The practical upside: your PC does not throttle. Mobile devices cap frame rate when the battery heats up. On GameLoop with a mid-range or better PC, BGMI runs at a steady frame rate throughout a full Erangel match or Ranked session, at whatever graphics quality your hardware supports.
BGMI's matchmaking separates emulator players from touchscreen players, so you will play against other PC emulator users rather than against phone players. That pool is competitive — you are not getting easy matches.
Installation — APK method
BGMI is available only in India on the official stores. To install it on GameLoop:
Step 1 — Download the BGMI APK Go to Krafton's official BGMI website and download the APK installer. Only use Krafton's official domain. Do not use third-party APK mirrors; the installer needs to match the version the servers expect, and unofficial mirrors often host outdated builds.
Step 2 — Open GameLoop Launch GameLoop. You do not need to search for BGMI in the Game Center — it will not appear there.
Step 3 — Sideload the APK Drag the downloaded APK file directly onto the GameLoop main window. GameLoop will prompt you to install it. Accept and wait for the installation to complete. The game icon appears in My Games.
Step 4 — First launch Open BGMI from My Games. The game will download additional data on first run — this can take a few minutes depending on your connection. Do not close GameLoop during this download.
Step 5 — Sign in Log in with the account you use on mobile. BGMI supports sign-in via Google, Facebook, or Twitter. Your progress, Royale Pass, and inventory carry over. If you play on a guest account on your phone, link it to a social account first before installing on GameLoop, or you will not be able to recover the progress later.
Controls
GameLoop's keymapping editor handles BGMI in the same way it handles PUBG Mobile. The default layout covers the basics, but tuning it to your preference takes about five minutes.
Default layout reference:
| Action | Default key |
|---|---|
| Move forward | W |
| Move backward | S |
| Strafe left | A |
| Strafe right | D |
| Jump | Space |
| Prone | Z |
| Crouch | C |
| Fire (while aiming) | Left mouse button |
| Aim / scope | Right mouse button |
| Reload | R |
| Open inventory | I |
| Use item | F |
| Switch weapon | mouse scroll / 1,2,3 |
| Map | M |
| Sprint | left Shift |
Mouse movement maps to the camera look. Drag to look, click to fire, right-click to scope in — this is standard FPS emulator behavior.
To open the keymapping editor: press F1 while in-game, or click the keyboard icon in the GameLoop overlay bar (the side panel that appears on hover). You can drag, resize, and reassign every control. The layout saves per game.
Recommended adjustments:
- Move the fire button to left-click if it is not already
- Set a dedicated key for the gyroscope/tilt controls if you use scope-tilt on mobile (most PC players turn it off in-game instead)
- Assign a key to the prone toggle rather than holding — it is faster in a panic situation
Graphics and performance settings
There are two layers of settings: in-game (BGMI's own graphics menu) and the emulator (GameLoop's performance settings).
Emulator settings — set these first: Open GameLoop settings (gear icon in the top bar) → Performance. Set:
- CPU: 4 cores
- RAM: 4096 MB (or more if your PC has it to spare)
- Frame rate cap: off (let BGMI control its own frame rate)
- Resolution: 1280×720 is standard. At 1920×1080 the game is sharper but GPU-heavier.
In-game graphics settings: In BGMI, go to Settings → Graphics.
| Setting | Recommended (mid-range PC) |
|---|---|
| Graphics quality | HD or Ultra HD |
| Frame rate | Ultra (40fps) or Extreme (60fps) |
| Anti-aliasing | On |
| Shadows | Medium |
| Auto-adjust | Off (set it manually or the game downgrades mid-match) |
If your PC supports it, BGMI offers 90fps in the Extreme+ mode. Not all devices unlock it — the option appears if both your hardware tier and the in-game graphics quality allow it. On GameLoop with a capable CPU/GPU, 90fps is achievable at lower graphics settings.
HDR + Color mode: Enable HDR if the option is unlocked. It increases visibility in shadows, which matters more in BGMI's daytime maps than you might expect.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity in BGMI is layered — camera, ADS (aim down sights), gyroscope. Since you are not using the gyroscope, disable it in-game: Settings → Sensitivity → Gyroscope → Always Off.
For camera and ADS sensitivity, start with these as a baseline and adjust over a few matches:
| Scope | Sensitivity |
|---|---|
| Camera | 80–100 |
| No scope (hip fire) | 100–120 |
| Red Dot / Holo | 55–70 |
| 2x scope | 40–55 |
| 3x scope | 30–40 |
| 4x scope | 22–30 |
| 6x scope | 15–22 |
| 8x scope | 10–16 |
Mouse sensitivity in GameLoop itself: keep it at 100 in the emulator settings and adjust the in-game numbers instead. Changing only one variable makes it easier to find your preference.
Common issues
Black screen on launch: Close BGMI, go to GameLoop settings → Engine, switch from DirectX 11 to DirectX to 9 (or vice versa), and relaunch. One of the two works for most setups.
Stuck at loading screen: Open Task Manager, end any zombie MuMuPlayer or TxGameAssistant process, then relaunch GameLoop entirely.
Login loop / authentication failed: BGMI's servers check your region. If GameLoop's internal Android is set to a non-India locale, the login can fail. Go to GameLoop → Settings → Virtual Location and set it to India. Alternatively, use a Google account registered in India.
Frame rate drops mid-match: Turn off Windows Game Bar (Settings → Gaming → Xbox Game Bar), and add GameLoop to your antivirus exclusions. Both scan game processes in real time and cause stutters.
Controls not registering after alt-tab: Click inside the GameLoop window once to re-capture focus. GameLoop releases mouse capture when you switch away.
Summary
BGMI on GameLoop is straightforward once the APK is installed. The emulator gives you stable frame rate, mouse precision, and keyboard control — the three things that matter most for consistent performance in ranked matches. The main limitation is that the Game Center does not list BGMI, so the APK method is required, and only Indian-region accounts can install from official sources. Everything else — controls, graphics tuning, account sync — works the same way as PUBG Mobile on GameLoop.
