Overload class in CODM Season 7 Terminated — GameLoop PC guide
Season 7 Terminated introduces the Overload class to CODM's Battle Royale. Here is how BR classes work on GameLoop PC and what to configure before using Overload in your first Season 7 match.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 Terminated launched on 5 August 2026 with Overload as the season's new Battle Royale class. This guide covers what BR classes do in CODM, how to select and configure them on GameLoop PC, and what to check before your first Overload match.
What Battle Royale classes are in CODM
In CODM's Battle Royale, every player selects a class before dropping in. Unlike multiplayer loadouts, BR classes define a set of passive and active abilities specific to the BR mode — they sit outside your weapon and attachment configuration and persist across the full match.
Each class provides:
- A passive skill — an always-active effect that applies from the moment you land
- An active skill — a triggered ability on a cooldown, activated by a dedicated button during the match
Class selection is made from the BR loadout screen before you queue. You can change your class between matches without restriction.
Overload — Season 7's new class
Overload is the new BR class introduced in Season 7 Terminated. Season 7's theme is built around the Terminator franchise's machine-war aesthetic — Overload fits into that visual and mechanical space as the season's signature class addition.
For BR players who run a fixed class: switching to or evaluating Overload is one of the first decisions Season 7 asks you to make. The new class will see heavy use in early-season lobbies as players test its kit, which affects how opponents behave and what abilities to expect from enemy class selections.
How to select Overload on GameLoop PC
The BR class selection path on GameLoop:
- From the main menu, open Battle Royale mode
- On the BR lobby screen, select your loadout (the equipment icon near the play button)
- Open the Class tab
- Select Overload and confirm
On GameLoop, this screen is navigated by mouse. The class preview shows the passive and active skill descriptions before you commit. Reading the skill descriptions here — rather than during a live match when you need to be moving — is the right time to understand what Overload provides.
The class is immediately available without unlocking requirements once the Season 7 patch has been applied.
Activating your class skill on GameLoop
In CODM's Battle Royale, your active class skill is triggered by a dedicated button on the HUD. On GameLoop, this maps to a keybinding you can configure in the Smart Tool layout editor.
Before your first Overload match:
- Open GameLoop's Smart Tool configuration
- Confirm the Class Skill key is assigned and reachable without moving off WASD
- Test activation in a Practice lobby before entering a real match
The default Smart Tool layout assigns class skills to a key your left hand can reach — check it is on that key, not remapped to something awkward from a different mode configuration.
Class skills have cooldowns — the game displays a cooldown timer on the skill button after use. On GameLoop, the timer reads clearly at 1080p. If you are running lower resolution or using UI scaling, confirm the cooldown indicator is visible before you rely on it mid-match.
Overload in the Season 7 mode lineup
Season 7 introduced three new modes alongside the Overload class:
- Lockdown — an objective-based Battle Royale variant on Rebirth Island with High Value Zones
- Operator Skill Overdrive — a multiplayer free-for-all with a skill collection and fusion mechanic
- Hardpoint: Mayhem — a multiplayer mode
Overload is the class to evaluate if you are playing Lockdown specifically. The mode rewards more frequent engagement than standard BR due to Rebirth Island's smaller map and the enabled-respawn format. Classes with active skills on shorter cooldowns, or classes with movement-oriented passives, tend to perform differently in Lockdown than in standard BR due to the pace difference.
The Lockdown mode guide on this site covers what the format changes about positioning and engagement strategy.
Performance notes for Season 7 BR on GameLoop
Season 7 introduces new cosmetics — the Terminator operator models, new weapon blueprint particle effects, and map updates — that add rendering load. If you are running GameLoop on hardware near its limit, checking your graphics settings before Season 7 BR matches is worth the time.
Two settings with the highest frame-rate impact in BR:
Shadow quality — dropping this one level has the largest single frame-rate recovery of any CODM graphics option. In BR, where mid-to-long range fights are common, the visual difference at lower shadow quality is minimal from a gameplay standpoint.
Render scale — running slightly below native resolution (if your hardware supports scaling options) can maintain a higher frame rate without the visual cost of lowering texture quality.
The Season 7 settings guide covers the full configuration sequence.
