CODM S7 Terminated — Cyberdyne Tech guide for GameLoop PC
How the Cyberdyne Tech system works in the Terminator Protocol event, what the daily cap is, when it resets, and how to claim all tier rewards on GameLoop PC.
Season 7 Terminated added the Terminator Protocol event, which uses a point currency called Cyberdyne Tech. This guide covers exactly how the system works and how to get the most out of it on GameLoop PC.
What is Cyberdyne Tech
Cyberdyne Tech is the event currency for the Terminator Protocol, Season 7 Terminated's main collaboration event. You earn it by completing two rotating daily tasks that refresh every 24 hours. As you accumulate Tech, you unlock reward tiers — operators, weapon blueprints, charms, and other Terminator-themed cosmetics.
The system is designed to spread engagement across the full season rather than letting players complete everything in a single day. Understanding how the cap and reset timing work prevents confusion when tasks show as complete but the counter stops moving.
The daily cap: 100 Cyberdyne Tech per day
The most important number to know: 100 Cyberdyne Tech per day.
No matter how many matches you play or tasks you complete in a day, the server will not award more than 100 Cyberdyne Tech within the same UTC day. Two daily tasks are available simultaneously — completing both typically awards the full 100 — but completing additional tasks or playing extra matches beyond this cap awards zero additional Tech.
If your counter is sitting at 100 and new completions are not adding to it, you have hit the cap. This is intended behavior, not a bug.
When the daily cap resets
The Cyberdyne Tech cap resets at midnight UTC each day. Two new daily tasks appear at that time.
Midnight UTC is 3:00 AM Turkey time and 8:00 PM US Eastern. If you play primarily in the evenings, the reset usually happens while you are asleep — meaning fresh tasks are waiting the next morning.
How to check your Cyberdyne Tech total
Open Events → Season 7 Terminated → Terminator Protocol. The Cyberdyne Tech counter shows your current total and the cap for your active reward tier. The counter updates server-side with a short delay — if you just completed a task and the number has not moved, wait a minute and reload the event screen, or restart CODM to force a sync.
Earning tasks: what counts
Each day presents two tasks. Tasks typically involve completing matches in specific modes or achieving score thresholds. The exact task requirements vary daily — check the Terminator Protocol event hub each morning to see what the current tasks are rather than assuming they repeat.
On GameLoop PC, tasks complete the same as on mobile. There is no PC-specific restriction or bonus.
Claiming tier rewards
Reaching a Cyberdyne Tech threshold does not automatically deliver the reward. You must visit the Terminator Protocol event hub and tap Claim on each unlocked tier.
After claiming:
- Operator skins appear in Profile → Operators
- Weapon blueprints appear in Armory → [Weapon Type]
- Charms and other cosmetics appear in Profile → Identity
If a Claim button is greyed out despite having enough Tech, restart CODM — the eligibility check is sometimes cached and requires a fresh server sync to update.
GameLoop-specific notes
Background mode. GameLoop's battery-saving background restriction can block the periodic network calls CODM uses to register task completions and update the Cyberdyne Tech counter. If you alt-tab frequently or notice task completions not registering, go to GameLoop Settings → Performance → Background Mode and set it to Normal or High Performance. Keep CODM as the foreground app while completing tasks if you want registrations to happen immediately rather than with a delay.
Stale counter after tab-out. CODM on GameLoop caches the event state locally. If you alt-tab away and return to find the counter unchanged after completing a task, a full CODM restart will pull the current value from the server. The Tech was awarded — the display just needs a refresh.
Task tracking during high-load periods. In the first week of a new season (August 5–12 for S7), Tencent's event servers see peak traffic. Task completion transactions can take longer to process. Waiting 1–2 minutes before checking the counter is usually enough — the Tech appears once the server queue clears.
If your progress appears stuck
Work through these in order:
- Check the daily cap first. If the counter shows 100, you are capped for the day. Wait for midnight UTC reset.
- Restart CODM. Closes the stale local cache and forces a re-fetch from the server.
- Check background mode settings. Ensure GameLoop is not throttling CODM's network calls.
- Clear CODM cache in GameLoop. Go to My Games → CODM → Manage App → Clear Cache if the counter remains stuck after restarting. Cache clear does not affect account data or progress.
