How to Install GameLoop on PC: Complete Download and Setup Guide (2026)

GameLoop is the official PC emulator for Tencent mobile games. This guide covers downloading, installing, and first-time configuration — plus fixes for the most common errors that appear during and after installation.

GameLoop lets you play Tencent mobile titles — Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, and hundreds of others — on a keyboard and mouse without a touchscreen. It runs on Windows and installs like any other application.

This guide covers the full process: from checking whether your PC is ready, through downloading and installing, to the first settings you should change before launching a game.

System requirements

GameLoop runs games inside a virtual machine. That architecture means it needs more resources than running a game natively on PC.

MinimumRecommended
OSWindows 7 SP1 (64-bit)Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
CPUDual-core, 2.4 GHzQuad-core, 3.5 GHz or faster
RAM4 GB8 GB or more
Storage8 GB free25 GB free (more for additional games)
GPUDirectX 11 compatibleDedicated GPU, 2 GB VRAM or more

Virtualization must be enabled in BIOS. On most PCs built after 2015 it is on by default. If GameLoop gives an error about virtualization on launch, see the troubleshooting section below.

Download

The installer is available at gameloop.com. Click Free Download on the homepage.

The download is approximately 600 MB. Download directly from the official site — third-party mirrors sometimes distribute modified builds that are out of date or contain adware.

Installation

Run the .exe file you downloaded.

The installer shows a directory picker. The default path is inside C:\Program Files\TxGameAssistant. If your system drive is near full, click More options before proceeding and select a directory on a drive with at least 20 GB free. You can also configure a separate folder for game files at this step.

Click Install. The installer downloads and unpacks core files. On a fast connection this takes about 5 minutes; on a slow connection, up to 20 minutes. Do not close the window during this step.

When installation finishes, GameLoop launches automatically.

First launch

On first launch, GameLoop runs a GPU compatibility check. This takes 30–60 seconds and is normal.

Choosing a rendering engine

GameLoop will prompt you to choose between OpenGL and DirectX:

  • DirectX — recommended for most NVIDIA GPUs on Windows 10/11. Offers better performance when hardware and driver support is complete.
  • OpenGL — more broadly compatible. Better choice if your GPU is older, AMD, or Intel integrated graphics.

If you are unsure, pick DirectX. If games have graphical glitches or a black screen after launch, switch to OpenGL in Settings → Rendering.

CPU and memory allocation

Before installing any games, open Settings → Engine settings and check the CPU core and memory allocation:

Your system RAMRecommended GameLoop memory
4 GB1.5–2 GB
8 GB3–4 GB
16 GB5–6 GB
32 GB8 GB

For CPU cores, leave at least 2 cores reserved for Windows. On a 6-core CPU, allocate 4 cores to GameLoop. After changing either setting, fully restart GameLoop — the new values only take effect after a complete close and reopen.

Google account

GameLoop will ask whether to sign in with a Google account. Signing in lets some games sync save data and progress across devices. You can skip this and sign in later inside individual games if you prefer.

Installing games

Open the Game Center tab or use the search bar to find a game. Click Install. Games download and install inside GameLoop's own file structure.

Game installation files are stored separately from the GameLoop application itself. By default they go into C:\TxGameAssistant\AppWorking. You can change this location in Settings → Storage.

After a game installs, it appears on the GameLoop home screen. Click its icon to launch it.

Keymapping

Every game starts with an automatic keymapping profile based on game type. To see or change the controls while a game is running, click the keyboard icon in the right-side toolbar.

For a full walkthrough of the keymapping editor — including control types, sensitivity, and layouts for battle royale and MOBA games — see the keymapping guide.

Common installation errors

"This app can't run on your PC" The installer is either corrupted or the wrong architecture. Re-download from gameloop.com and run the new file.

Antivirus blocks the installation GameLoop's installer writes to protected directories. Some antivirus programs block it by default. Temporarily pause real-time protection, run the installer, then re-enable protection. If your antivirus quarantined files from a previous attempt, restore or whitelist them before re-running.

Installation freezes at a percentage Check available disk space on both the system drive (C:) and the install drive. If space is fine, end any other download or update process that may be competing for bandwidth or disk access.

Black screen on launch Switch the rendering engine. Go to Settings → Rendering → Graphics rendering mode and toggle between DirectX and OpenGL. A black screen on launch is almost always a renderer mismatch.

"Virtualization is not enabled" error Restart your PC and enter BIOS setup (usually F2 or Delete during the startup screen). Look for a setting called Intel Virtualization Technology, Intel VT-x, AMD-V, or SVM Mode — the name varies by manufacturer. Enable it, save changes, and restart. GameLoop requires this to run its VM engine.

Games inside GameLoop fail to install or are very slow This is a disk space or path issue. Verify the game installation directory has enough space, and that the path contains only ASCII characters (no accented letters, no spaces if possible). Paths like D:\Games work reliably; paths like D:\Oyunlar İndir\ may cause problems on some systems.

GameLoop installed but games show "Service not available" This sometimes happens after a Windows update resets network settings. Open GameLoop Settings → Connection and click Reset. If that does not resolve it, uninstall GameLoop, restart your PC, and reinstall.
